No it's just the one tx site and a very restricted beam, so those not to the north- east of Tacolneston will have some difficulty getting it. Having said that, reports from elsewhere in the country suggest that the signals are getting out quite a bit further than was expected.

Thanks for the info. Glad I am pointing towards Tacolneston and not Norwich Central. It will be interesting if our Dutch or Belgian neighbours pick this up under tropo enhanced conditions.

Went off around midnight and is still off this morning - hopefully it will be back later.

At least we've seen something at last!

Yes its still off. I'm guessing it may return around 22.00/23.00 hrs tonight.

Does anyone know when Belfast starts testing? NVTV website is not very forthcoming with that info

I think the mux is already on air? At any rate, it should be up by the 27th.
NvTv itself is due to launch in September.

Don't forget colour bars and tone on 791 - though I suppose you could record them and watch later.

Yes that is correct, must have been a test as broadcast had finished by 6pm and MUX is now off air.

Re Ch 29 for London.

Did I see somewhere that there was minimal signal to the south? I ask because I am getting a good solid signal down here in Sussex. And is it from CP or, as mentioned earlier, from the Croydon transmitter on Beulah Hill?

Thanks for the heads up. DigitalUk now show the 25th as a retune date! Shame my TV shows 10% signal and 0 quality ... no real surprise though

CP, a south east beam (as an SFN) is due to be added from Croydon in June

You might lose the signal if/when Guildford, Hannington, and/or Rowridge launch
their L-MUXes all also on Ch 29

OK, thanks. I am not too bothered about losing it later as I cannot imagine there being much of local interest on it this far out of London. More of a technical curiosity for me I guess.

I'm getting it reasonably well here as well, although it varies a lot from one receiver to another (on the same aerial).

According to UKTV Northern Visions TV was meant to start yesterday from Divis..

So far, no sign of it. Is there now a revised start date ? Very disappointing.

The 27th February 2014 was the local TV multiplex launch date, based on an Ofcom document published last summer.

The local TV multiplex launch date and the local TV channel launch date are two separate dates, with the local TV multiplex launch date having to come before the channel launch date.

NvTV is on target to launch in September.

i can confirm Brierley Hill is working on channel 29 this morning. bonanzabonanza has appeared on 64. However service 6149 has appeared on the BBC MUX at uhf 60 carrying BBC wm. wasn't expecting that.

CH29 - Brierley Hill - yes working here in Wordsley, did wonder if we would get it or not - coming in stable at around 30% strength, 100% quality compared with 70%-80% strength on the current muxes but stable - off unamplified, 1970's original roof aerial split to two outltest in loft.

Might even be something worth watching one day...

What do you mean by "BBC wm"? Is this the BBC WM radio service? If so what LCN is it appearing on? Agree that it is very strange. I would like a second source for this before being convinced- it doesn't seem very likely.
