Kian's comb over

I’d just like to start a thread celebrating Kian’s comb over.
The comb over is a dying breed, shaving it all off has become the fad. Well done Kian.
When it gets wet, it really brings the Bobby Charlton out in him.

Kian's had a receding hairling for years, he did an interview with Westlife back in the day and he predicted he'd probably be bald by the time he's 30. (i think he was about 25/26 at the time)... But to be fair his hair has held out for three years longer than he thought it would. lol

I do think when a guy is thinning he should cut what's left as short as possible. Kudos to Gary Barlow for having his hair cut really short for that reason - I think Kian would look better if he did likewise.

He's a bit like Boris Johnson on top now. Thinning quite noticeably. I think he would look good with it cropped on top.

What most should do is at the first sign of thinning, switch to one of the numerous shampoos and conditioners that can cut loss to virtually nothing.

There are lots of options to radically slow down thinning.... not so many once it's virtually gone, unless you want to be taking a pill every day for the rest of your life.

Men tend to ignore it, just like they ignore lumps, until it's a hell of a lot harder to fix.

He should have a word with Joe Swash, his transplant to cover his comb over seems to work

In the old days of course it was said that rubbing duck shit into the scalp warded off baldness!

That's not hair on Joe's head - its ginger-coloured Velcro.

The problem with that is that, at 50, he's going to be bald *and* horribly scarred...

Doesn't he just colour it in with a crayon?

Looks ridiculous . If he's self conscious about it he should get a Wayne Rooney .

There is no such thing as a shampoo that can halt baldness however much it claims to do so.

Tis quackery I tell you!

Once the hair follicles have died there is nothing to be done.

Of course there are. Go to the pharmacy section in Boots (not the "hair loss" section in the shampoo aisle, that's just unproven caffeine quackery), there are many medicated and hair-loss shampoos tucked away with all the actual medicines.

Once it's gone you're in a whole new world of difficulty, but if it's starting to thin, you can radically decelerate the process.

My old housemate in his late 30s was shedding like a cat in summer for years, then BAM! hairloss stopped after using the men's version of this one I think:

http://www.boots.com/en/Nanogen-Thic...Women_1355451/

I've no idea if anything grew back, but it certainly stopped falling out.

People who say you can seriously slow down balding are usually the bald who have left it too late and are bitter
