At first I thought he was alright but now I can't stand him. Going on about the bloody canopy when noone but himself wanted it down then calling Kian a scab. He does need to stfu, he seems to think he is the voice of the camp.

Does look like he has had a run in with Alf but they haven't shown it.

He hasn't had a run in from Alf. He knows he's wound Alf up but he's waiting for Alf to grow some balls and have it out with him.

Maybe as others have speculated he wants to be out quickly, either because he's struggling with the conditions or he's accepted he can't beat Kian and Joey and therefore he might as well get out as soon as possible.

Anyway, I strongly suspect whether that was the intention or not it will very quickly become a reality. He has no chance of being saved by Kian and Joey and could well be the first to leave.”

He said when he went in he didn't give a damn what his campmates thought of him. And I think Matthew knew he was never going to win.

He is making an impact, winning isn't everything on the show.

I don't think it's an act. He gives the impression of having a short fuse and low boredom threshold; a nasty combination. He must be hell to live with.

I think we will see a different camp once Matthew is out, a happier and more relaxed camp.

But that makes boring viewing.

When Gillian McKeith got voted off those last few episodes where pure bland.

That's a bit below the belt really. His wife has been on his show a few times and she has the most wonderful broad smile you could ever see on a woman.

If she's unhappy, my goodness she is an outstanding actress!!

Stockholm Syndrome. Classic case of it. I've learned a lot about intricate psychological issues in my time on the DS forums.

At the expense of others tip-toeing around him?

The women of the camp can give you all the entertainment you need, Mo has just muscled her way into the arena by taking over the dish drying from Amy . Just a matter of time before she starts on Amy or Lucy.

He's starting to look remarkably like Nasty Nick Bateman, with his staring eyes.

Hmm. I think people are making some very serious judgements based on the 5 minutes or so of footage we saw of Matthew's 24 hours in the jungle.

That was brilliant from Laila. Not liking Amy. She comes across annoying I think.

In one. I think Matthew is the best campmate since David Van Day.

As per usual we have a character not afraid to speak their mind, intelligent, amusing, interesting so let's get him out

Can't wait to let Alfonso bubbling with resentment but a coward at heart or Mo stupid, impatient and boring or Lucy another coward to all win over Matthew

David Van Day losing out to Joe Swash was just awful. David put on an act for the viewers at home and made it one of the best series ever. Joe Swash was just fake.

Joe swash is feeling the hate for Matthew on ITV2 which for me is all the reason I need to love Matthew more.

Exactly. What's wrong with people As soon as a character has the audacity to put their head above the parapet they're dead meat. We will have left what we always do, floaters yuck

He should not show such a blatant opinion on a show which he is the host.

Totally unprofessional. He should at least balance the views. Cannot stand him. ITV give him the sack!!!!

I think Matthew is the best campmate since David Van Day. He is carrying the series at the moment. Now he just needs to drag Alfonso with him.

well as Matthew works for Channel 5 and ITV are so desperate for one of their own stars to win they won't care what bad editing they do and what their own paid hosts say.
