Yes!

Thank you - it was so annoying not being able to work out who the unkempt campmate MW reminded me of!

Matthew's great! He's not afraid to do/say what he wants. I mean, I'd hate to live with him, but that's why I want the others to live with him as long as possible Luckily, you vote to keep people in instead of out, so hopefully we won't see all the characters be 'evicted' and leave us with wallpaper a la BB.

He's fascinating to watch - mainly because I think he's neurotic and slightly unhinged.

The 'canopy/scab' incident tonight bordered on the bizarre.

Bizarre is the right word, especially when he started his rant about scabs like Kian being responsible for the state of "this country"! Em you are in Australia you pillock and shouting at an Irish man

No, I've made my judgement of Matthew since he entered he jungle and also based on how he is on his show. We're now seeing the nasty, mean side of Matthew, the side I always suspected he had. He's so used to being fawned over and the centre of attention and this isn't happening in the jungle and he's not handling this well. He's an angry bully.

Ha, Matthew would be a nightmare in the real world and my patience would wear thin rather quickly, but in this he is TV gold. He's clearly a bright guy and agree it is fascinating to watch him in this esp around some of the others.

Kian was 100% in the right IMO in that 'canopy drama' though.

Also how he tried to make out his rant about the canopy was for the benefit of the camp, when it was for him. I wish someone had backed up Kian instead of saying how they felt when Matt left (i.e Alf)

I do like Matthew but, from watching his show, he's always struck me as someone who had all these big ideas when he was younger about politics etc and he just wants to cause a stir and make a difference. He can get pretty self righteous about things on his show, and when he was talking about 'revolution, brothers and sisters' I just rolled my eyes. He's like some communist hippy that doesn't have the balls to actually commit to it.

He was saying that Kian breaking the resolve not to speak until the canopy was lowered was an example of how people had ruined the country. IE individuals doing there own thing and not joining in for the good is why things have gone so wrong.

I did actually notice how everyone was perched on beds in the shade away from the sun. It did look a bit uncomfortable and almost claustrophobic so I do actually think lowering the canopy was for everyone's benefit. However I can also see why the show doesn't want that.

He is so much more disturbed than Matthew IMO. At least Matthew speaks his mind but Alfonso stores it up and festers and ends up boring those that don't actually care about what he is apparently going to do.

I didn't like Matthew before he went into IAC and have seen absolutely nothing to change my opinion of him. The sooner he is out the better as far as I am concerned

He's deliberately trying to cause drama and his attempts at getting everyone to revolt were ridiculous as no one agreed with him.

Agree with this. You have now got workers wearing their feet to stumps in a vast Amazon warehouse because management want more productivity.

Most people nowadays look to themselves rather then the collective which is what he is saying

And,yes, not giving them the canopy crates more conflict which is what they want.

I think he was trying to get the group together to push for a canopy. He wasn't name-calling out of the blue: "scab" is actually an appropriate word for the scenario Matthew was trying to create (the scenario being a mini revolution).

Obviously he picked a bad moment and lacks the awareness that none of them were in the right mood for it and were too spineless to tell him, but I felt he was a bit let down by all the blank silent faces around him. They really needed to just speak up and tell him whether they wanted to play or not rather than just sitting there almost as though they were just waiting to see what the majority would do (perhaps letting Matthew believe they were in on the silence!). Aside from Kian, they literally just did not want to be involved (on either side of the picket line) at all. Bores!

Exactly! Happens every time though, doesn't it, anyone in the slightest bit interesting who puts their head above the parapet is voted straight out. And then people complain when it's then boring

Well, I'd definitely prefer to watch Matthew getting wound up and being a bit argumentative then some blonde model sleeping or standing around looking simple!

Couldn't abide that man on my TV before anyway. Always found him disagreeable and objectionable. Funnily enough I’m watching and enjoying The Wright Stuff now he’s not on it but if and when he returns...........

calling Kian a "scab" was great, the look on his face was as if 50,000 families were going to be made destitute because of Kian

I like him when he goes a bit insane

He's very entertaining. Totally neurotic and emotionally volatile. Must be a nightmare to live and work with but I want him to stay in. He's the only one injecting any real drama into it this year.

And I loved the whole bikini episode. That was a brilliant idea which was hilarious and creepy all at the same time.

Don't get me wrong, he is an excellent value for money camp mate.

But I really don't like him and he reminds me of a not good looking, version of Cameron from Emmerdale.

Good for Kian standing up to him, disappointed in the others, just stood there.

I was disappointed that no one stood up for Kian . Calling someone a scab for not joining in with something only Mathew wanted was horrible .In other words Mathew decides all on his own to protest and anyone who disagrees is a scab ? Obviously Mathew doesnt know much about the dynamics of democracy and the majority vote . It was a dreadful name to call anyone , historically its a huge insult .

Kian can take it, obviously if he'd said it to Rebecca then that would have been dangerous and much more nasty as a tidal wave rolled down her cheek and drowned all the campmates

Yes, I know Kian was able for him and very glad to see he was .I just thought maybe others might say well there can be no scab when its a one man revolution !!

I'm somewhat bemused by the reaction (or overreaction, as it seems to me) to Matthew's one-man revolution attempt. People always complain about the boredom in the jungle - it's also pretty boring to watch much of the time. Matthew seems to be the only one who is aware of this and tries to do something to liven things up, to little avail. While it wasn't the reaction I would have hoped for, I was glad Kian actually said something. The others all sat around like, well, like Joey Essexes. Matthew is fighting a losing battle trying to provide some entertainment for us and them.

I can't see either Joey or Kian giving Matthew immunity.

Oh no, they definitely won't - unless they are trying to be cunning about it, by keeping him in because they think he has no chance of taking the crown from them.

Kian should have said "just you calling me a scab, makes you a scab yourself, you scab"
