I have a feeling....just a feeling mind....that Joey doesn't know what the word 'tactics' means, let alone...applying them.

He might not know what the word means - or at least he would claim not to know - but stupidity and cunning often go hand in hand, so I wouldn't rule out the possibility of his using them.

I suppose so. Be interesting to see who he chooses and his reasons. Amy is a given but the other 4.

They're all too well-fed in there and have got a bit fat and contented. There was stuff leading up to 'canopy-gate' which would tend to suggest it wasn't just Matthew alone who wanted it lowering. A few of them had complained about the heat/sun beating down - they sent Kian up to ask for the canopy to be lowered - he came back and said 'computer say no' and whereas in the past they'd have all got together (with hunger being a driving irritant) and demanded as a group to get what they wanted - they all just stood around as if to say 'OK'.

If someone like Helen had been in there - and they'd gone without any proper nourishment for days on end - I can 100% say the reaction to Matthew's stance from everyone else would have been entirely different. See - everyone complained about Helen and Gillian (even me) but they were the catalysts for far more interesting shows.

Matthew seems to be the only one who is aware of this and tries to do something to liven things up, to little avail. While it wasn't the reaction I would have hoped for, I was glad Kian actually said something. The others all sat around like, well, like Joey Essexes. Matthew is fighting a losing battle trying to provide some entertainment for us and them.”

Sorry for quoting myself, but on The Wright Stuff just now Kevin O'Sullivan said pretty much exactly what I said here. He added that Matthew is not a nasty guy, he's friendly with Kian, what you see is what you get with Matthew, and he appealed to the viewers not to vote out the one guy who is providing some entertainment in an otherwise dull series.

I watch IAC to be entertained & much as I've gone off Matthew, he is amusing to watch, therefore I don't want him booted out anytime soon.

Hi.I hardly know anyone when this season started. I only :"knew" Vincent and Alfonso but it you would have asked me Carlton's real name I would not have been able to give it to you.

I like nearly everybody and I can see why some people do not like Matthew but I find him funny. Yes he might have been wrong but I am sure we did not see half of it. .If he did not care for that thing to come down it must have been that a lot of them were complaining about the hot sun.

So far I have seen a lot of good and funny things that Matt did.
Maybe that I prefer my reality people to be real and that is why I have a soft spot for him. I laughed when he was sitting in that bus without a shirt all kinds of creatures were thrown over his head and the others were all wearing jackets tied up to include their noses.

At least he is entertaining and I hope there will be a bit more argument.

O by the way I start to really dislike Carlton. He has such a big mouth when the person he is angry about does not hear him (as do others)

Isn't IAC a vote to save though?

So anyone voting to try to get MW out would only help to keep him in anyway!

I think Matthew would be one of Joey's choices to save.

Has anyone not noticed the look of fear on the other campmates faces whenever Carlton goes up to them with one of his asides (I'm calling him Carlton from now on as Carlton is the only thing he's done as far as I know). Its a look that says 'Oh god please don't let him come over and bore me to death with his method acting and his moaning'. And when he has managed to pigeon-hole some poor unsuspecting bastard - they're just nodding away - they're not actually holding a conversation or agreeing or even taking part in the conversation.

And I've seen the dance - it ain't that great!

I really don't get this. Although he's not someone I have much of an opinion about ordinarily (don't see him on tv etc), he's certainly not bland or predictable and is happy to stir things up in there = in my book, an excellent campmate.

Why would anyone want him to leave?

Matthew has to stay surely. Hope they don't vote out the ones most likely to stir up a bit of controversy.

I too can't stand the man, but don't want him to leave early as I agree he is the most entertaining to watch. I'm hoping he falls out with more of them as time goes on, maybe we could have a bit of a jungle fight between Kian and Matthew to liven things up too, you could have Alf cheerleading doing the 'Carlton Dance' and Amy being the 'ring girl' or whatever it is they call the girls who walk by announcing the round number before each round, not sure what the rest could do, I suppose David could design the outfits and perhaps Rebecca could do a bit of sponging down between rounds! Seriously though he does liven it up, yes he is obnoxious and quite scary and wild looking at times, but without him I think it would be really really boring this year!

Just got round to watching lasts night show.

He needs taking down a peg or 5.

Going on about removing mics as a protest for the cover not coming down as it's too hot then saying he ain't bothered, didn't even see Lucy tell them she got 10. He needs a smack.

Kian went right up in my estimation though.

They just seem to get on whenever I see them. Matthew seems genuine when he hugs Joey after a trial - and after their first two trials together - I think Joey may have felt bad enough to return the favour whenver he got the chance.

For sure!

Speaking of solidarity, remember when the chef started a protest for more sausages?!!

Edit: I can't remember the chef's name.
