Amy got lots of abuse about the gum....why didnt lucy get the same about the soap?
I think a few people told you on the other thread that it may not be Lucys soap as Steve knew about it so I think you would be better dropping your argument.

There was no indication that the soap belonged to any one particular person - that's why Lucy and Steve only remembered it as contraband at the last moment.

Wasn't this only just explained to you on the episode thread? Lucy said there WAS soap. She did not say it was HER soap.

I believe the soap was shared and all the camp would want to keep it in order to wash themselves and keep clean, whereas chewing gum is hardly a necessity and was certainly not being shared by Amy other than with Joey.
besides, I was undr the assumption that the only contraband the producers etc. in camp knew about was the chewing gum? It was the others who were handing over anything that could have been percieved as contraband, it wasn't confirmed it all was.

A few people on the episode thread (myself included) said it was a bit selfish that even though Amy knew three meals would be taken from them, that she still kept quiet about the chewing gum.

I think it's a well known fact that it has that effect. I know if I was going to sneak some contra in to camp then chewing gum would be far down on the priority list. Still, can't say I'm surprised by her choice, she doesn't strike me as the most practical tbh.

No one else got abuse for holding back stuff because no one else WAS holding back stuff. How silly to try and pretend that it was 'not being obese' and not 'trying to keep the chewing gum hidden even though it would lose them three stars' that annoyed people.
