Honestly. What a rubbish family, whose only main storyline is apparently about to be a rip off of the John Locke storyline in Lost. That Dexter guy is a pathetic character, and his parents seem incredibly poor. What the hell man?!

To be fair, I've only just got back into the show again recently, and this is the first I've seen of them, and furthermore, you didn't answer my question. Oh, and you obviously cared enough to comment!

Sorry never meant it in a rude way. It just gets annoying when people seem to knock every thing ee do.

Think it was Newman who brought them in, Well Ava is Cora's daugter and was meant to be a guest character, then they meant to being in Dexter and Sam was only for this S/L.

Seems like the mum and dad are going though.

No worries dude. That doesn't seem like a bad thing, as they don't seem like very good characters. Can't see why Dexter would stay though, unless he lives with the Brannings, who are his cousins and grandmother.

The bloke who plays Sam is a terrible actor. Absolutely atrocious .
So it's good riddance .
No offence to him though .

What you have to remember is that Ava was brought in under the assumption that Tanya was leaving on a break not indefinitely.

Agree. Awful family, rubbish kidney gate sl and I'm glad Sam is leaving
Ava was ok before Sam arrived, dragged down by a very dull character.

Would have been better if Sam literally rip out Dexter's kidney and ran off with it shouting 'It's mine'. The front page of Walford gazette reads 'Dad runs off with sons kidney, but leaves a pint of milk'

They surpass even the Ferreiras in their general awfulness.

Worst. Family. Ever.

That actually made me LOL!

STEADY ON! They are bad, but as bad as the Ferreiras? That's a very slippery slope, even for DS!

And the guy that plays Sam CAN act? You could always black up, but I can't imagine the public being in favour of this...

I like Ava and Dexter it's a shame Sam has dragged them down. Should've had them living with Cora for a while before bringing in Daddy!

I bet they would never have the guts to do it just the same as in the Locke episode. In that, Locke wakes up after the operation and his father has disappeared, the whole 'getting to know my son' thing being a big act so Locke would give him his kidney!

Lorraine Newman.

She also changed their back stories more times than I care to remember.

I wish they'd keep Ava and actually develop her back story with Cora. I feel they've missed a trick there, especially with the race element, it drew interesting parallels with Cora's relationship with Patrick.

I agree and it is a shame because Cora will have none of her daughters now in the Square but I suspect Tanya will return eventually.

What really surprised me was how people were so quick on here to say 'dont judge!' when it looked bloomin' obvious from the start they would be terrible. I mean Sam's back story was 'he went out for a pint of milk and never came back...' :/ really?!

Cartoon characters and I'll be glad to see the back of them. Dexter is somewhat more rounded at least as he has friends and a personality but Mum Man and Sam Man are awful!
