Now, you will get flamed if the "members" find out you're calling the Inverto a lemon.

But only now you have highlighted his indiscretion.

Maybe he was referring to a new colour scheme for the Inverto for those who don't like black, white or silver?

Sky blue pink.... what about invisible? No, that wouldn't work, the noise from the fan would be a giveaway....

1 billion $, thats nothing compared to the Topfield sales thru that household name Euronics centres .

Maybe the forcast is from current sales of only 200 units per batch flown in . LOL.

I have come to my own conclusions why it happens in "that" thread, but i'm not saying what they are.

Go on Colin, share

Lemon was the name of a European version of the Inverto just in case you didn't already know.

Yes very interesting. By coincidence I found my way to all those sites earlier this morning. I had followed the link in your Comparison Chart for the "Link to manual" entry. However, this linked to http://www.ftacom.com/UploadImages/IDL7000PVRTUK.pdf which when I downloaded it appears to be for a different version of the Inverto, not the UK version.

I then went to the "Link to manufacturers website" entry in your chart, and browsed (via Support/Consumer) to the following which I believe is the manual for the UK version.
http://www.ftacom.com/UploadImages/U...VRT-Screen.pdf

Do you agree?

Whilst on the Inverto site I came across the Lemon brand.

Your welcome. I'm not very familiar with the Inverto ( I will probably take a closer look now the problems appear to be getting resolved) so I'm pleased you agree.

Well done for the comparison table.

I have a couple of problems with FusionDigitals FVRT200.

These are:
Problems with aspect ratio switching on ITV2/3 and E4.

Reply from FusionDigital is:-
"This is a known issue Fusion are working together with the broadcasters to rectify this situation as there is speculation as to whether this is a digibox issue or a broadcasting issue."

(Strangely, my ancient dusty Pace box makes no errors in that respect).

and I have also seen several references to playback glitches when recording radio, though I have no personal experience with that.

(It does have a slightly messy graphic backdrop in the menu system - but thats subjective).

Glad to see that we finally have this as a sticky link. Hopefully we won't get quite so many threads which end up with "Why don't you look at Emsee's dual tuner comparison chart?"...

Thanks

I'll add that to the list of minor issues.

Ohh! I'm famous at last

Seriously though, in order to keep the information up-to-date (especially in the subjective/bugs section) - please could owners of the PVR's shown in the table have a look through and tell me if anything needs updating, changing, adding, etc.

One correction: the firmware update for the Panny (scheduled for August) was pulled at the last minute. Probably best to put "September?" in the next update box.

Ahh, thanks - I was wondering what had happened to that - I was going back through the Panasonic posts and was starting to wonder why there wasn't much mention of it.

Yea, it has got a bit unmanagable

I'm looking into adding scripting to enable you to choose which models are shown in the table.

Failing that, I'll split off the single record models onto a seperate page.

The Inverto is now on firmware v1.003 which has also cured this: - Playback skips on some units with current firmware
