Couple of questions: 1) How did you arrive at this shortlist (record sales/radio play etc.?); 2) Why are there only about 4 decent songs on the entire list; 3) What's this competition for?

Honestly, all these 'vote for you favourite track of 2004' things are just daft.
I agree with most, quite a lot of the songs (IMO) are utter rubbish -

Why not just do a vote were you vote for your own favourite(s), instead of picking from something many regulars to the music board hate?

I think some on that list are half-decent, (some excellent), but it would be much fairer.....
