Phone Help Suggestions
I work as a swimming coach and about an hour ago my phone (a new Blackberry) slid out of my pocket and fell in the pool.
![]() Now it's not working, I've tried taking a hair drier to it and it did nothing so I've left it in rice for now. I broke it before and that worked but should I do anything different or just leave it in the rice or give up and buy a new one? ![]() And no this isn't a joke thread cause I know this forum is all technical stuff.

Take the battery out and don't try and turn it on right now. The rice is a good desiccant. Also leave it all in an airing cupboard for a few days if you can. You might get lucky.

a) I personally wouldn't hairdryer it, as the excess heat can damage some components
b) I'd get a waterproof phone. There's only so much chlorine and piss even the toughest ordinary phone can withstand, if it survives a first go. |
