I agree about her neck tonight, but honestly what a fabulous dance. Brendan gave such a difficult yet classic routine for her and it was truly amazing.

I'm just annoyed because so many others were over marked tonight so it doesn't make her stand out as much.

I thought her dance tonight was breath taking, it must be so disheartening to be so good and not get the scores, they just do not like her at all, continually under marked

Im with you on that.

Some contestants can do no wrong and Sophie can do no right.

Tonight has proved that the judging has a hidden agenda ( alegedly in my opinion)

These phone in shows are always a tad dodgy. I never believe they even look, let alone count the votes.
maybe the producers decide the outcome of all phone in shows ?

She was breathtaking, as was Brendan's routine which was incredibly tough. How disheartening it must be to see the WAG get those scores for just shaking herself about a bit with a crowd of support dancers.

exactly. it would be fine if the others weren't overmarked because sophie's neck was too tilted... but other than that it was perfect and such a classic, gimickless routine.

Have to agree, felt sorry for Sophie.
She deserved better scores

This is spot on. All the other couples were overmarked (apart from, IMO, Ashley) because I thought Sophie was better than Natalie tonight, although her neck wasn't quite right. I enjoyed Patrick's dance the most tbh

I fully agree with this. It was a proper VW full of difficult content and Sophie was wonderful. She deserved some of the gushing being thrown about elsewhere.

Also, how great was it to see Sophie with a big grin on her face throughout the dance tonight. It was so lovely. I think they're going to go straight to the finals. They are so popular with the public.

Sophie's classic VW was miles better than Abbey's "not really a Samba".

I agree. It's maddening to see her constantly getting mediocre scores while some of the others (Natalie, Abbey, even Patrick tonight) are overmarked just for turning up. Especially when Natalie and Abbey did NOT do a Salsa or an American Smooth and still got the same as or more than her.

I am a susanna and Kev supporter but support the dancing more than anything if they ask for a smooth or a salsa that is what should be done on that basis best dance tonight was Sophie then Patrick but to mark two performances that totally disregarded what was required so highly makes strictly a joke

I thought her score was fair, and definitely not worth tens.

Yes, in the old strictly world it would have been fair, I agree. But they overmarked almost every couple tonight so you either overmark them all, or none of them. No consistency with the scoring.

I agree with you - i thought the judges were so lacklustre in their comments to Sophie - compared to how they were practically wetting themselves for some other contestants! I have no problem about them saying about her neck but she did a serious amount of spinning!. I tried to do just 2 and almost knocked myself out with dizziness against the wall!
She looked so happy out there on the floor, no extras, no props, just the 2 of them in a traditional VW. Really hope they are safe tonight!

I think she did really well tonight and is on the way up again. The comments made by the judges seemed fair to me and she seemed to concur with what was being said.

Abbey's wasn't just "not really a Samba", it was not a Samba.

I love Sophie and have no doubt she will stay out of bottom two, but if you gave that routine to Abbey or Natalie or possibly even Susanna, they would have danced it better.

Sorry.

I have to disagree as well. Brendan devised a wonderful routine, probably the best VW of the series, but Sophie head was often in the wrong place, and a lot of her steps were very "skippy" instead of being smooth, because she keeps lifting her feet off the floor instead of gliding.

If she really wants to improve for the next few weeks she needs to work on keeping her weight down through her feet so she is more centered and controlled.

I disagree but we're all entitled to our opinions.

It has, and every time it means I use my votes for Sophie, just my reaction to the unfairness and bias of the judges.

I think her neck was hugely off putting therefore she didn't deserve 10s.

They are incredibly harsh and nit-picky with Sophie. I thought her VW was quite exceptional
