Aljaz is no Travolta

Even more shocking than the marks for his disco 'salsa', leaving aside Abbey's dancing, Aljaz didn't compare too favourably to the original to my eyes

What struck me at that time of the film was to wonder why The Bee Gees sang like Castrati?

I was referring to iconic dancing, not the fact that Travolta is 35+ years older.

Aljaz is good but he was no Travolta. Everyone copies Travolta, while Travolta was the original.

Give it time, they all usually end up like hippos... and they say it is only the ladies that don't age well.

True, Travolta will remain an icon long after Aljaz is forgotten.
But I prefer the ultra cool twist with Uma Thurman in Pulp Fiction to be honest. Looks easy until anyone tries to copy it, then you realise the work that went into looking that cool.

Surely Aljaz had to tone his performance down so as not to outshine Abbey.

I'm sure that dancing alone you'd see a whole different performance.

Indeed, he let Abbey shine last night and she performed some of the moves much better than he did. She also looked the better of the group of three too, so kudos to the backing girls and Abbey for coping with such a lively routine. It was an excellent performance all round.
