Perhaps it's Ashley's turn - he appears to have gotten off fairly lightly

Being critical about somebody's dance is not a personal attack. Why would anybody think so. Also I have to see something first to know if I like it or not.

Aside from my own thoughts and opinions of Artems lack of dancing in hold. Which I really dislike by the way. I actually feel very sorry for Natalie.
It doesn't really matter whether she trained as a dancer or not, the understanding is she did not train in any Ballroom. She is very talented, I don't think anyone would deny that, but I feel that Artem is cheating her. I really feel that she would have loved to learn to dance properly rather than what Artem is giving her. Wouldn't she had loved to dance a proper VW in hold, a proper Foxtrot with recognisable groups than a mishmash of stuff in shadow or side by side (yawn)? I wonder if she watches some of the other dancers on Saturday night as they dance a beautiful Ballroom dance, and wishes that she could have learnt that ? I suspect that she is the most talented celeb they have had on SCD and that talent has been wasted as far as Ballroom is concerned.

I'm sure Artem is capable of delivering good choreography, but he certainly hasn't shown it this year. Even apart from the Ballroom dances, his choreography has been dull and uninspiring.

I think they are both competitive individually, which has led to Natalie pushing herself too hard - she needed someone to slow her down. Between injuries, bad song choices, dodgy choreography and next to no chemistry, I really wish Natalie had been paired with someone else. Artem has always been a bit of a cold fish, even with Kara.

Artem is a brilliant choreographer, of that is no doubt. However, he seems to have a problem with choreographing certain dances correctly and needs to start toeing the line .....if all the other pros did the same the whole show would be based on nothing more than showdance, which would soon get very boring. And before you start saying I can't know anything about dance, I am both a professional ballroom/Latin competitor and coach.

Thank you, comment much appreciated.

I should add though, (referring to my own comment), that it isn't necessary to be a dance "expert" to be able recognise whether a routine is good or bad. People who have watched Strictly over the years have become extremely knowledgeable about the various dances, even though they may have never danced a step themselves, in fact a good few of 'em would make very good judges ..... move over Bruno and Darcey!!!

I would actually like to see at least 1 other Ballroom/latin trained judge. After all the show is Ballroom/Latin based. Not sure which of the others I'd replace, but I don't feel we need 2 "show" people.

Len of course is BB/Latin expert; Craig did ballroom/Latin in Australia and is knowledgeable.

In all the years Bruno has been a judge he still hasn't much idea, and Darcey knows about posture, etc., but nothing about technique, so I'd like to replace both of those with judges from bb/latin background.

Good idea !I would very much like to see someone knowledgeable/trained as a judge, I don't like it when they are paid to critique but they don't know much about the technical side.

Trouble is with Len, is he will moan about content but say very little about technique. Content is something the celebrity can do nothing about after the event, technique at least they can.

Content isn't in the celeb's purview before or after the dance. They don't know the dances, so they have to trust that the pro is doing the best he or she can by them with regard to the choreography. The celeb can say they want to do a traditional dance but ultimately the choreography is the pro's decision. After all, the celebs are probably all aware that if they're seen arguing with the pros about the choreography, it won't do them any favours with viewers who feel that the pro knows best... even if they don't actually always know best.

Buddy, I'd be quite happy for you to be a judge because I'm more likely to agree with you than the current judges! However I think you'd be too nice to give the FULL range, maybe 4 upwards
