Have Alliens Landed On Lens Front Lawn & Taken Possesion Of His Faculties? -OR-Tired?
Have Alliens Landed On Lens Front Lawn & Taken Possesion Of His Faculties? -OR- Is He Just Tired From All The Transatlantic flying he does?
We are all used to Len throwing his toys out of the pram every year, but this year he seems more dolally than ever, raving and ranting, scoring up and down and going into overdive on all his unpleasant crudanisms. The Big Question on everyones lips is, SHOULD LEN RETIRE BEFORE BRUCIE ? Lets hear about Len on this thread, Is Len Still a Good Judge ? Or Is It Time For A Change ? What would your choices of Judges for The Strictly Come Dancing Panel Be ? PS The inspiration for this great thread is not mine unfortunately. |

Yes Len should retire, I am OK with Brucie as I dont see the presenter as vastly important in the scheme of things....I even prefer Brucie to Tess
![]() As for whom to replace him.....I dont know but someone who is consistent in their opinions would be a start and can keep a lid on their anger and resentment. |

Hi Terry
I love the title of this thread lol! You have a good point. I don't know how old Len is and he certainly keeps himself fit but he has reported to have said that he will give up doing the US version of the show as it's too tiring. I do like Len and assumed he was your cuddly uncle type chap but this year we've seen another unpleasant side. Perhaps he has been overtaken by aliens? It must be difficult to think of new things to say and invariably you do end up repeating yourself but I still look forward to Len mentioning his pickled walnuts! I don't know many modern day dancers so can't say who else I would like to judge but a dream jury would be Margot Fonteyn, Rudolf Nureyev, Fred Astaire and The Nicholas Brothers (cheating there as there were 2) and of course they are unfortunately all dead! Could Doris Stokes help? |

I do like Len but he does get on my nerves a little especially in this series. I think either Karen Hardy or Ian Waite would be an excellent addition to the show and hopefully would add a little more objectivity to scoring and comments than certain judges do in general and certainly did last night.

Len could have been over taken by aliens or they could have pulled him over and taken possession of his faculties in the slow lane, who knows. I can't take credit for such a great thread, that is the genius of someone else Stef. I must admit I'm not a fan of Len's pickled bits especially when I'm trying to enjoy my pineapple chunks lol. They are great judge choices Stef, maybe some techy wizard could conjure up virtual hologram guest judges of those you mention every week, that would be amazing. |

We need a bit more objectivity and someone else apart from Craig who is both willing to criticise where it's needed (which Len isn't unless a dance presses one of his buttons such as "out of hold" or "faffing about") and gets those criticisms correct. Karen's analyses on ITT have generally been spot on and refreshing. |

Did you know pickled walnuts are still produced these days? They had a programme showing them being produced. Apparently they're very popular at Christmas with Turkey and cooked meats. I prefer my walnuts au natural though. Thanks Terry it would be lovely to have those greats come back from the dead so to speak. They did do it with Michael Jackson so who knows? Fanny Craddock could do the cooking. She was an odd bird wasn't she? |

Terry, FYI means 'For Your Information' hun.
![]() I definitely think the time has come to replace Len. I would love to see Karen Hardy on the judging panel as I reckon she'd have great banter with Bruno and Craig. Len has just seemed so miserable at times this year. |

I can see Karen disappearing up her own backside pretty quickly. Flavia's critiques on ITT were refreshing. I vote for her

and that's because he has personality, Tess reads from an autocue and over exaggerates her facial expressions and northern vowels.
