Does nobody care about Ashley?

So Ashley was in the dance off. This seems to have caused no angst, no breast beating, no despair, no anger.

Apparently the only interest in Ashley is whether he is touching Ola inappropriately.

This doesn't bode well for him really.

Just my opinion, they are both looking exhausted and lack the spark needed to carry on much longer.

I love Ashley - not sure if that's clear to see across the forum at all ...

i don't dislike ashely, in fact he's my 4th favourite....

but i thought he was rather odd about being in the dance off tonight, didn't make the custom speech about it could be anybody, and its fine, which is more or less where i think we've got to in the competition. not sure why that was, and what came out seemed altogether less gracious and slightly more churlish... not that i can quite remember what it was...

I think they had a tough dance this week and got lost with all the 10s flying around, especially with Abbey and Patrick. People seem to forget he has about a 1/4 time (compared to everyone else) to train during the week as he only does 4 hours a night, with some doing 10-12 hours a day. I think both Ashley & Ola still have the buzz but find it difficult to show as they are just so exhausted.

Ps, I voted for them 20 times, lol.

I'm one of the ones who has no strong feelings about him. Can't imagine voting for him.

I don't think he was less gracious about it, more that he wasn't really that surprised.

He did seem very concerned that he had to go back up on the carpet again so that's a difficult thing to contemplate. It's hard to think let alone say "everyone's so fantastic, it could have been anyone" when he's got a dance off to contest and flying across the studio (presumably for at least the third time that day).

There were also no guarantees he was going to be saved over Mark either despite 99.9% of people thinking it was a given. You knew time was up for Mark and Iveta as soon as Iveta started applauding everything Ashley did (which was such a professional thing to do)

He did so much better in that dance off though - really really well though nice of the editors to let us know that Ashley was perfectly safe on that carpet specially customised with seatbelt.

I was at a party and didn't vote but normally would vote for him and Ola.

Considering Abbey and Patrick have been in the bottom 2 before, the two of them being top of the judges leaderboard was going to open up the possibility of Ashley being in the bottom 2.

He's not progressing at all that's why. Ashley is potentially excellent but he's not putting enough hours in. Obviously it's not his fault if Hollyoaks aren't allowing him the time off to train, but I'd have to question why they keep allowing their stars to appear on shows like is if they won't give them time off to train.

He was third from bottom so it wasn't a shock he was there- people usually only get aerated when it's some much further from the bottom.

I care about him it just wasn't a surprise to see him in the dance off so no angst, despair or anger from me.. performance slot straight after the first 40 was given and before an energetic quickstep with a great song, a slow dance, with a theme that wasn't even from a musical, with rubbish costumes, third from bottom on the leader board etc.

Fingers crossed for a Charleston next week, think he'll do it well and it might give him a little advantage in preparing for the swing-a-thon.

I knew he was in trouble from there but it really upset me. One of the best celeb male Rumbas in a while and your reward is the bottom 2.

I hope he does score highly next week and secure a higher position on the leaderboard but he could still go. Remember when Ali Bastian was on the show. She was second on the leaderboard towards the latter stages of the show and WENT. I think they didn't have a dance off then.

What is also detrimental for Ashley besides his training time is that if he does manage to pull it together for the live performance and get fantastic comments and scores there's only one way for him to go. If that happens watch the judges save the girls or Patrick saying Ashley was not only worse in the dance off than his opponent but his own performance on "Saturday"

I think he is good, but he has not progressed like I think he should of, he just seems to the same every week.

I think he looks exhausted and stressed. He's a competent performer who has improved slightly but not dramatically and has had a tough deal from wardrobe and music. But he's not a contender and looks as if he needs a break to me.

I feel sorry for Ashley, truly believe he could be a fantastic dancer if he had the time to practice more and (please don't be cross) had a different pro.
Ola is good (up to a point) but I really think without the work constraints Ashley could be fantastic and outshine Ola's choreography.

As I have mentioned previously, I struggle to remember Ashley in between shows.

He just doesn't seem to stick in the mind, once he's off screen he disappears from my thoughts.

I like him and Ola but i think as soon as the judges went 10 crazy for Patrick and then Abbey it seemed obvious Ashley would be the unlucky one to be in the dance off and to be honest i don't think he was that bothered by it. It seems to me that just like Ben and Mark he's counting down the days untill it's all over.

I care about Ashley... but not enough to want him to win.
I would like to see him in the final though, and if others think like me that could be the problem.
As it comes to the final weeks, our votes are being honed down to one or 2 people only - for me Ashley comes third...

And I agree, he does look exhausted (or at least very tired) and most likely is.
