Crimewatch on iPlayer, why is it deleted after three days?
Having missed Crimewatch on Thursday I've just been to watch it on iPlayer, yet it's deleted. I thought shows were there for a full week, or until the next episode, which would be next month?

Crimewatch is an exception due to its nature and is only available for 24 hours. When you think about it, it makes sense, as longer availability could potentially prejudice forthcoming legal proceedings, as well as any changes in the criminal investigation.
Most other shows on the iPlayer is available either for 7 days or until the end of the series, though from next year most shows should be available for at least 30 days. Except Crimewatch which will retain their 24hour period. |

The appeals can't stay online as it would potentially prejudice any trial after a suspect is arrested.
But most of the individual appeals get put on the Crimewatch website as clips so they can pull sections down as and when people are caught. |
