I wanted to know if anyone in the UK has it, and if so; what are their thoughts?

I have two. One for downstairs and one for the bedroom. I think they are great tbh. I use them mainly for watching Netflix. There isn't many apps available for them in the UK at the moment. Only Netflix, Youtube, Google Music and Movies. Be nice to have the UK catch up services.

It also supports mirroring of a Google Chrome tab if you install the extension. Was easy to set up. However, I did have to move the wifi channel as it was on Channel 13. Channel 13 isn't available in the US, so the Chromecast couldn't see my wifi network until I changed the channel.

Hope they launch in the UK soon.

Thanks for your view mate. I am not sure what the delay is in releasing them in the UK, but rumours are going around that they want to launch Nexus TV next year.

You can get one from Amazon.co.uk for £38 including delivery. The chromecast app is also available on google play and the App Store so it's pretty much ready to go in the UK.

Thanks for letting me know, but I am already aware the Chromecast is available on Amazon. I was waiting for Google to officially release it for numerous reasons.
