Anyone else have a problem viewing the new layout on their mobile phone? I can't see the last one or two words to the right of a post, or viewing the forum in general, the right hand side of the screen is cut off slightly.

This is on a iphone 5 on ios 7

EDIT: yes I'm zoomed out fully, only had this problem since the layout changed

There is a thread in the general discussion forum. Go look there and post any problems.

It would appear that they're halfway through rolling back to the old design though, as the old images for unread posts next to thread titles are starting to reappear.

“If anyone wants the very very early basic version I have at the moment, the code is here:

http://pastebin.com/MU2qJNqk

(I couldn't embed it into this post as it said it was over the character limit)

To use it - install Stylish in Chrome, and then go to a page on the forums. Click the Stylish button and then Manage Installed Styles.

Then:

1. Click add new style
2. Call it whatever you want, DigitalSpy or something.
3. Paste in the code
4. For "Applies to" under the code box, change the drop-down to "URLs starting with" and paste http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/ in the box. This is important, otherwise it will style every website you go to”

Taken from a user on the feedback thread. It's better than what DS have done. Still not perfect.

Thanks for that but I'm sure that doesn't help mobile devices? Probably for desktop computers?

Either way why should we have to mess around making it work, it worked perfectly before hand

Same issue as described by the OP. The layout is even less mobile friendly than the old one was.

Whilst not a problem on the forums, I also find that I can't pinch to zoom on the main site, rendering it pretty much unusable from my mobile.

I know homo sapiens are generally averse to change of any sort so I'm trying to temper my views on the new layout with this in mind. However, the new layout is absolutely HIDEOUS. What were they thinking??

Its a little like the designers are huge fans of the abortion that is iOS7 and figured it would be a good idea to impose a similar design.

In time we'll probably get used to it

I can't even use the new site theme On my iPad words get cut of at end having to use mobile version just so I can see everything.

No idea what loon designed this new theme but they need firing seen some bad VB styles over the years but this is one of the worst so far.

the new layout and style sheet works for the main website, but definitely does not work for a forum.

clearly the 3 in-house guys involved never tested this on any mobile device, or if they did it was only to ensure all the adverts they plan to litter the screen with will display prominently.

the forum skin needs a re-think.

Yeah that is what I have switched to else I couldn't use on my tablet I shouldn't have to though. Sites should be optimised for tablets nowadays mobile sites are meant so that you don't use as much bandwidth when you loading them.

Ahh ok. I don't view the normal desktop version, just the mobile, as I only access via my phone.
