Seems that Sophie is popular out there in the real world too:-

Natalie's popularity is going downhill fast.

A poll so relevant and pertinent to the public vote that Abbey managed to come top in it the week we know she came bottom in the actual vote.

I looked at a few the other day Sophie & Abbey were topping them all (all good headers)

seems public opinion differs a lot from this forums

I don't know how much you can extrapolate from an online poll. I mean how many people even voted on it?

I suspect Natalie's more popular than people think. Hope so because I kind of feel a bit sorry for her.

Don't get me wrong, I think Sophie and Susanna are popular too but that it's very close and varies from week to week who gets the most votes. No idea about Abbey.

Doing OK on Tellymix as well, (admittedly a smaller sample).

I've seen several more where Sophie is top

I suspect an all female celeb final.

As last year the Ringah will come third.

FWIW my own favourite is Patrick followed by Susanna. But I don't care who wins as it is meaningless as probably fixed and I'm quite happy to have tastes different to the GBP.

Yes all female with Sophie winning.

I am often surprised to learn that the GBP thinks this or that, and realise that I am supposed one of them but my views are wildly divergent, sigh....

Update from yesterday. Nat may be in trouble this week though she'll survive any dance-off.

I think Natalie needs to quit the tears and 'it's so difficult' mantra which has increased over the last few weeks as I know a few peeps who are being put
off her by it.

The poll is titled 'Who danced best?'

Not quite the same as 'Vote for your favourite' ...

I think it's tough for the zealots to distinguish between people who just watch it on a Sat night with their family and rate the dances , and the zealots themselves that will blindly say Sophie is the next Ginger Rogers even if she just came out and did head, shoulders, knees and toes.

I like Sophie a lot but it doesn't mean I froth at the mouth whenever Natalie comes on the screen.

Natalie won't win, that is 100%, but she is a gorgeous dancer and I'd like to see all her dances.

If I were a true Sophie zealot, I'd have moved onto Patrick, Abbey and Ashely. All better dancers than Sophie with an actual chance to win.

BIB - maybe that could be their showdance?

It might even rival Brendan's most recent effort at that - the Bacofoil horror ...

Not surprising at all. In some issues you will be in line with the average GBP view - not in others. Maybe you will be out of line in everything as you seem to indicate. That's a "Normal" distribution / Bell Curve in Statistics.

But most people will be within the Bell Curve on most issues. They are the core of the GBP an are sought after by market researchers.

Oh dear. You were doing well until you said Abbey, Ashley and Patrick have a chance of winning.

Said it before in response to this post of yours Dread, the votes are still reflecting week-by-week movement based on individual dances rather than levelling out to show a clear favourite.

Nothing is written in stone yet and to write off Natalie when most of the viewers will be oblivious to the fact she has previous is premature. The innate fairness of the GBP will choose a balance of dance and personality as their winner on final night.

It's an on-line poll where one person can vote a hundred times. They are not worth the paper they are not written on.

They're not written on paper.

Exactly, that kind of makes them pretty worthless. Any dedicated fan can just get on there and sit and click for an hour. Guess what, they are going to boost their couple's share of the vote. It's just too easy to skew the vote in a poll like that. I just boosted Susanna and Kevin's share of the vote from 7% to 21%. Just me (maybe, but I could see the percentage rise with every darn click), in half an hour. Never again though. It's not worth it really just to prove a point. Which is, any small group of fans voting together can do this.

The normal readership of Hello may not reflect the wider viewer demographic of SCD either.

Never mind any excuse to put Natalie down suits JD. :s
