Isn't that the song that CA did with Cee-Lo Green?
I really liked her first album (and the tracks on the re-release) but I didn't like her second album. Hopefully this one will be better. I like the album cover. |

The second album was a bit underwhelming, it was a shame she didn't release Dancing On My Own - it's a great track. It's the best track on the second album IMO. |

I'm looking forward to this. I loved her first album but her second wasn't so good. It had a few decent tracks though.

You can now pre-order her 3rd album (released 4th August)..she is currently filming a video for the 2nd single in France
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Pixie-Lott/d...0258291&sr=1-1 1. Nasty 2. Lay Me Down 3. Break Up Song 4. Champion 5. Kill A Man 6. Ain't Got You 7. Heart Cry 8. Ocean 9. Raise Up 10. Bang 11. Leaving You 12. Cry & Smile Pop sensation Pixie Lott’s third studio album is A collection of tracks that take their cues from the singer's early musical influences. Gone are the glitzy, fast-paced pop rushes that informed her first two recordings and in their place stand a collection of tracks with a more soulful hue. The results of this inspirational process is Pixie Lott - a self-titled release and her most personal record to date. Pixie has poured her own experiences and emotions into the lyrical sketches to deliver an album big on soul-heavy ballads and break-up anthems. |

I don't think she'll do well. NASTY was a good song, but it's no lead single. Doesn't set the best tone for an upcoming album.

Anyone know when the next single is going to be released? She's leaving it a bit late if she's got an album to sell.
I'm not all that keen on "Nasty" either. |

I'm looking forward to the new album. Is it available to pre-order on iTunes yet? For those who are interested, Pixie did a song for the Postman Pat movie soundtrack called I Only Want To Be With You.

Pixie has poured her own experiences and emotions into the lyrical sketches to deliver an album big on soul-heavy ballads and break-up anthems. What a load of bumf. Her break up song is called Break Up Song? I guess Leaving You was her creative zenith when it came to naming her break up songs and after Aint Got You, that was all she had left. She's a less capable blonde version of Katy Perry afraid to embrace the sexual image she is pushing. In a world of Katy Perrys and Rihannas, that won't work. She is singing about wanting to get nasty and be laid down but then she's acting skittish and insecure doing her promotional appearances on TV? Yeah, sorry, at least be a believable act, don't show us the strings that are being pulled you're dancing to uncomfortably by not even playing into the image making you money. It just won't sell, people expect either more style like Lana Del Rey or more sex like Rihanna. Pixie is not capable of competing to that degree. |

After a long wait the album is out now. Has anyone bought it??
I think i can guess how most people will reply sadly Here is a message from Pixie... CATTIES, THE ALBUM HAS LANDED! The time has come! The third album I've been working on is finally *OUT NOW* and it's my most personal yet. It's the style that I love, the music that I grew up listening to, mixed with the artist that I am now... The self-titled album is a collection of tracks from my experiences, emotions and early musical influences and I decided to self-title the album as it's very personal and really reflects who I am. I wanted to create something with a lot of soul with classic melodies and lyrics that I can really get into, instead of generic pop and I hope you feel we have done that with this album. Can't wait to see you at the live shows which is as you know what I love doing the most. Just wanted to say thank you so much to all you incredible cats. I honestly don't know what I would do without you and you continue to amaze me every day with your hard work and support. I am beyond excited for you to hear the album and only because of you I am able to release music and do what I love. I have been working on this for the past few years and hope you love it as much as I do. From the bottom of my heart.... this is for you and thank you |

I have tbh I'm not feeling the album, it may grow on me but for my liking there are too many slow songs and I'm more of a fan of songs like Boys & Girls and Kiss the Stars etc.

I really don't like Pixies music on any level but I do feel quite sorry for the lass, she does seem really lovely and she's got that genuine sweetness about her personality, I absolutely feel sad for her, she's quite young and was very hugely popular at one point in her short career and I imagine this is going to knock her confidence big time. But unfortunately that's the way it goes these days. Bit of a ramble there but I'm a big gush when it comes to seeing artists going through these situations.

Sometimes you need to stick with your moneymaker and diversify your sound but play to your strengths. A lot of money artists don't do that and in turn they nosedive sooner rather than later when playlist programmers stop checking for them. Also having an interesting video is more important than ever, the "in the club/going to party and getting prepared in a lavish flat before walking in a group in rhythm down a street" thing is so tired, it's got narcolepsy. |

Listening to it
Much better than her second album but not loving her vocals. Has she looked after them at all? She sounds very strained. Quite a bit unbearable to hear. |

Been listening to the album on Spotify and I think I am going to make a purchase in store this week. It's actually a really good album, 'Ain't Got You' is such a great song I am addicted to it!
People criticise her vocals alot, and I know what they mean but that's actually her style - it's soulful and unique. I actually like that nasal quality alot? It's such a shame she isn't going to land top 10 with this album, she's such a nice girl. Bizarre how so many artists in the UK have a HUGE debut and then slowly pan out... |
