Little Mix need more credit!

Every time I talk about liking Little Mix, the opinions are always divided. This is usually down their name, "Little Mix" being childish or their fanbase appearing to be made up of young kids.

However, I really feel they need more credit and deserve every bit of success.

Part of Girls Aloud's charm and what made them so critically acclaimed was their abilities to put on an amazing show and release forward-thinking tunes.

After downloading LM's new album, "Salute", I was in awe at the perfection. Not one bad song. Ridiculously good harmonies. Not to mention, their new image is stunning!

After seeing this Youtube clip of them performing acapella last week - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eLMubAvldv4

I think it's safe for me to say, they are one of the best girlbands to ever come out of the UK!

Salute is one of the best albums of 2013! There are some great tracks, particularly the title track and Little Me. I don't understand why it's not selling as well as I thought it would.

Damn, I got the wrong end of the stick.

I was going to email them a £5 T Mobile top up voucher.

Its only just been getting radio play this week, Move is still popular so i think its got to be phased out before Little Me will be a success.

They are still not selling much beyond the fan base but it is a strong fan base.

Salute is such a revelation of an album. I know people who found their music a bit glee esque and a bit aimed at the young markets, but Salute is so grown up. Little Me has to be one of the best songs from a girband in quite a few years.

I was going to send a handwritten letter to their bank manager, requesting he increase their credit card limit as it is Christmas.

No they dont, they are copycats. They plagarised a song, gtheir new song sounds like
Blurred Lines by Robin Thicke ft. T.I., Pharrell

They bring nothing new to music either, just another girl group that will soon disappear

And where did Robin Thicke get the music?

There's very little ground breaking stuff in pop music these days, so much of it draws on the past. LM draw on 90s RnB and they sing about female assertiveness at least to some degree. That's a good message.

And if anything 'Move', the first LM single from 'Salute', is innovative in not having an obvious verse/chorus structure but still being a distinctive LM song.

I don't think that clip shows their harmonies at their best to be honest, it's not a great recording and untidy in places...

However, they ARE about the only group I've heard from X-Factor who actually can harmonise so yes I think they deserve some credit for that.

I've always hated their new name. It sounds like an outfit singing nursery rhymes or a Haribo selection.

But I do like quite a few of their songs. There is nothing original any more and I'm happy with that.

I read somewhere that Blurred Lines samples (or rips off) an old Marvin Gaye song.

Little Mix - great singers, great songs, cool image, they can dance, nice personalities, what's not to love? I think both their albums are terrific and, what seems rare for a Girl Group, ALL 4 members are good singers, but especially Perrie and Jade. I really like Little Mix and thing they'll be around for quite sometime to come yet.

Yeah, that song and Give It 2 Me by Madonna, Twisted by Usher and Blurred Lines are all very similar.
