Looks like the Carters are center-screen for their first week. Really looking forward to their arrival!

Sounds ok, last years sounded better.
The idea of the Beales and Mitchells spending Christmas together sounds like it will be very enjoyable.
BiB's Damm wish Janine could kill Joey.

tbh Can't even remember what happened last year ...was it the Death of the Toad??

I am really looking forward to The Carters... I think they will shake up the show.

I didn't like how last year showed hardly anyone except the Brannings and their Christmas dinner. I hope this year we get to see the wider cast all sitting down for Christmas lunch with the respective friends and family.

Looks like Janine's exit is on Christmas day.

Does Sharon know The Carter's?

I agree it ended being bad, just the idea of Dereks death and Max secret being revealed sounded very promising this year doesnt drag me in, hopefully im wrong and its amazing, also im expecting some trailers to hype up Danny Dyers arrival.

His arrival plus the potential exit of Janine has wet my appetite enough to think this will be good. It also looks like Lauren and Jake will be caught out based on the Boxing Day spoilers.

Add to that the Carol cancer plot and I think everything is shaping up nicely.

The New Year spoilers sound suitable cryptic - I'm guessing they're holding A LOT back.

No complaints from me. A massive improvement on last year.

It all sounds very good, Janine I really don't want her to leave, to many great characters have left this year.

I wonder why Sharon is unhappy about The Carters getting the Vic? Unless it's just something to do with her and Shirley's distaste for each other (though I was hoping that'd be dropped) or maybe she was just holding out hope she might be able to get in there herself at some point.

The stuff about Nancy is rather perplexing, too. In a town where Ronnie can freely sit in the pub that she stole a baby from and left her own dead one in it's place without anybody batting an eyelid, I can't really think of anything that could "cause tension with the customers."

I wonder if Sharon had an affair with Mick before she returned to Walford or had dealings with Linda? all intriguing...

BIB - Max and Tanya were preparing to get married in the Branning home but Kirsty showed up on the doorstep and revealed she was Max's wife, and Derek had made Max believe that he'd sorted a divorce which he hadn't, causing Derek to have a heart attack in the middle of The Square. It sounds good writing it out, but it was executed so poorly.

Hopefully this year is so much better. The Carters look extremely promising. I think maybe Nancy could have murdered somebody in the past or she's very outspoken - don't know why anyone in Albert Square would be uncomfortable, they live among murderers, child abductors and Shirley all the time and don't batter an eyelid.

Maybe Nancy used to be a boy!

Anyway surely Kat and Alfie can just live where she has been living for the past year! Especially once Joey leaves!

Eastenders I hope Ronnie isn't leaving in 2014 I know she goes on her break in January but surely that means if she returns in the spring of 2014 that she be until Early 2015

What's Janine's new home?

Does she attempt to buy the Vic perhaps before the Carter's?

Yes she has wanted the Vic for years, so I wouldn't be surprised if she tries to buy it in the coming weeks.

By the way Linda dresses I wouldn't be surprised if she was a hooker.

Maybe Sharon knows her from her time walking the streets.

My guess Sharon is annoyed due to the Shirley connection. I doubt it's much more than that.
