I see that Patrick and Ashley are favs to be the bottom two this week. I find that surprising but it would be a pleasant change to see the last four being all female if one male went this week followed by the other one next week.

I suppose it lands on what dances they are doing more then any thing, any ideas what they have got? anyone?

It appears to have been virtually nailed down from various sources in the last page ( page 7 ) of the "Week 11 dances" thread. Just Susanna's to come for this week and I am sure it won't be too long untll all is clear. Also, some general thoughts for the semi final.

I've always thought that at least one bloke will be in the last 4, probably last 3, given some element, even if relatively small, of sexist voting.

Patrick vs. Ashley

Just because I think Susanna has the vote regardless of dance, Natalie will be good regardless of dance, and Sophie should be fine with tango and Abbey with VW.

I really don't think rumba will suit Patrick and I wouldn't be surprised if Ashley's heart wasn't in it anymore after the dance-off.

I just wonder if ATD will get a bounce back vote from being in the bottom two like Patrick and Abbey both seem to have got, which would mean it's a question of popularity.

Therefore I think it'll be Patrick vs. whoever scores lower out of Natalie or (my probable guess) Abbey

I can't see the rumba being Patrick's best dance, so unless Anya pulls off something special in the choreography I wouldn't be too surprised if he ends up in the dance off. He may manage to snatch some points in the Swing-a-thon though.

I don't know if Ashley can pull the votes back, he is probably the weakest dancer.

If Susanna has another poor week it could cost her voters again as she has already had a couple of poorer weeks.

Ashley was definitely less popular in the vote than three of the four remaining girls last week.

I can see Susanna being in trouble.

Imho, her only REALLY good dance was her Paso (which was all Kevin really, and fantastic music). Apart from that she's been pretty clompy and discoordinated. And that dreadful gurning all the time.

I guess she has some sort of core vote but her dancing leaves a lot to be desired.

I think it will be Patrick v Abbey. Ashley will probably get a bounce vote.

Her waltz was also very good & should have got at least one 10. However even as a fan I can be objective & know she might be in trouble even though I think she has a strong public vote at this stage it's hard to avoid the bottom 2 if you are in a precarious position on the leaderboard.

If it was on what we already know about the public vote then the bottom 2 would come from any of Patrick, Ashley or Abbey but adding in the leaderboard it's anyone's

Personally I also think the music has a lot to do with it. For the public vote at least. Everyone I know who votes says they are much more drawn to a performance if it has well known, likeable music. Obviously it doesn't make any difference if the dancing was rubbish.

Ashley looked shattered & disheartened last night on ITT.

I don't know if he will cope with two dances this week.
That & the lack of outrage on here about him being in the bottom two makes me think he will be there again on Saturday.

I hope they aren't but I think it will be both Ashley and Patrick will be there

I think it might be Ashley and Susanna this week, and I say this as someone who would quite like both of these two to get to the final.

My ideal final four would also include Sophie and Patrick, but I don't see 2 males being in the final, and both Natalie and Abbey are doing too well at the moment with their judges scores.

Unless we have a real muck up by someone this week, i can see Ashley being back in the dance off , and i think possible with Abbey or even Natalie

Abbey had her wake up call when she landed in the bottom two but i believe shes been kept out THE DDO via the Judges scores since (40 for the salsa no way for me )

Natalie , we could now see if others like last week do perform and get better marks see her land in the DDO too

It's a poser!

Ashley's got to the Scott Maslen stage now, I'd say. Except he isn't as good as Scott was.

Rumba for Patrick. Oh, dear. Tough.

Abbey? She'll have to top the leaderboard again or she could be vulnerable. Essentially because she's been bottom 2 before BUT I think Aljaz is worth a few votes and, as the series goes on, he's been getting better and better (well, nicer and nicer).

Sophie? Don't see her bottom 2 this week.

Nor Susanna.

Natalie? I don't like this partnership. Could she bottom 2? Possible, I suppose. But they'd never send her home.

So. Ashley v Patrick. But I wouldn't bet on it!

I too thought Ashley looked shattered last night on ITT, no enthusiasm either although Ola did try.
I would'nt be surprised if he's in the bottom 2 this weekend again although I like him. It could be Patrick but you just never know. If it is those 2 I'd say the judges will let Ashley go.

Just based on the song alone, I'm worried for Sophie.

I would say everyone of them is in danger of being in the dance off this week, as they are all much of a muchness, if only for different reasons :

Natalie : good dancer, but isn't improving much from when she started; her last dance was (imo) rather boring, she needs to show some personality.

Abbey : think she has caught up with Natalie, dancewise, but a lot of people seem to find her irritating, so will they bother to vote for her?

Susanna : although popular, she had 2 weak dances (cha & qs), and I think her fans may not forgive her a 3rd time.

Sophie : ok in the ballroom when she is being steered round the floor by Brendan, but if she has Latin she will definitely be in danger.

Ashley : Sorry if I sound like Craig, but his (Ashley's) head spoils the look of every dance he does. Male celebs rumbas are never popular which is why he in DO last week, though I thought he did a very good job.

Patrick : Has a similar problem as Ashley with his head and shoulders (in ballroom dances)but his Latin is good - if only he would insist on wearing proper Latin shoes he wouldn't look so flat footed.

It's really difficult to call -

Susanna is the weakest dancer left but appears to be popular with the public. Don't think she will be bottom two.

Sophie will probably be in the dangerous third from bottom position on the leaderboard but is probably popular with the public

The judges seem to be marking Natalie to a higher standard so she could be mid-board. I'm not sure the public have warmed to her or Artem's choreography, so she may be in trouble.

Patrick may not be popular with the public but he is marked protectively by the judges. He has done some cracking routines but he has been handed a dance-of-doom with the Rumba so has a good chance of being in trouble unless he tops the leaderboard.

Ashley isn't one of the best dancers left but he may benefit from a bottom two bump. Last week he was handed a terrible routine so that may not be an indicator of his popularity. May be in trouble.

Abbey is marked protectively by the judges but is probably not popular with the public. Is at risk of being bottom two unless she tops the leaderboard.

I think it will be Natalie, Patrick or Ashley, depending on where Patrick ends up on the leaderboard.

I don't think we can blame the routine at this stage. Maybe in the early weeks a bad routine might put off the voters (such as Deborah's VW or Mark's Rumba) but at this stage people know who their favourites are and will vote for them regardless.

Me too. I think she will be in dance off and possibly leaving.

Only based on a song choice? Assuming she is indeed popular with the public, it would be hard to see her in the bottom two. Have already consoled myself with her being bottom on the judges leaderboard(every place higher then that would almost certainly see her get a free ticket to the semi's), but I can't see past Natalie and Abbey for the two top spots on Saturday (and I can see Abbey's public vote actually rising due to her 2 perfect scores, I am from the future, leaving the men at the bottom of the public vote).

Again, going by the assumption that her public vote is high (if not, this theory doesn't work). Mind you, it would help if her individual dance score was up there (especially important with Ashley, just a tie with 35 would do perhaps). In that regard, the AS would probably have been a better option (that is her 10 dance, hopefully she gets to perform it).
