Nice to see the South West (not Bristol) finally getting a slither of attention in Plymouth and Exeter - but still not really worth the extra money for those of us who don't actually live in the city and will probably not get anything for a while yet.
Did a speed test this morning and it's all doubled!. 20.8 meg close to the mast (was about 12) and now 15.4 outside my house (standing on a wall with the phone in the air and 1-2 bars), it was only ever 5-8!! Hoping the 2G refresh has happened too! |

But what is the point of 4G if you only have 8GB of monthly data.

Better signal penetration, far faster in low signal areas, far more consistent coverage (little shrinkage unlike 3G at peak/events) and many times faster upload (worth it for me just for that)
EE also have more spectrum than Three.. So in theory faster and more consistent in medium to long term (and from when Three launch) |

What's the point of 3G if you only get 5MB of data? Other people in the world do different things to you. We don't all download 10GB movie torrents. Deal with it. In the meantime everything that uses less than 8GB is much faster. |
