Yeah very good to see! I live in hope. I get my signal from a main cell on the A38 between Plymouth and Exeter. 3G has been on and off for a few days. A friend rang up EE (as they use a dongle and couldn't get online) and they said they were doing upgrades in the area and it would be back on soon!! Cool.
Did a speed test this morning and it's all doubled!.
20.8 meg close to the mast (was about 12) and now 15.4 outside my house (standing on a wall with the phone in the air and 1-2 bars), it was only ever 5-8!!

Hoping the 2G refresh has happened too!

You can still do the things you normally do. That will use the same amount of data. It'll just take less time to do it.

Better signal penetration, far faster in low signal areas, far more consistent coverage (little shrinkage unlike 3G at peak/events) and many times faster upload (worth it for me just for that)

EE also have more spectrum than Three.. So in theory faster and more consistent in medium to long term (and from when Three launch)

What are you on about now?

What's the point of 3G if you only get 5MB of data? Other people in the world do different things to you. We don't all download 10GB movie torrents. Deal with it.

In the meantime everything that uses less than 8GB is much faster.
