Thank you - don't think I could put it any better myself.

Must be watching a different show, I’ve seen lots of bitching but no bullying.

No one deserves bullying, but if you’re lazy, manipulative, lying…well yes, you deserve all the bitching you get.

To be honest I am not a big Amy fan, but I read that article the same as you. Her Dad isn't standing up or against anybody, he is simply saying his daughter needs to stand up for herself.

'Bullying' really can only be applied to things that the supposed victim knows about. You can say that Laila was unkind about Amy behind her back, but that cannot possibly count as bullying. And Laila seems to have been a fairly equal opportunities attacker: she doesn't seem to have liked anyone much. Was it bullying when Amy tried to damage Lucy behind her back?

I genuinely think this is the weakest allegation of 'bullying' on a rtv show I have ever seen in the press. Amy has always been surrounded by kind people, supporting her; the alleged ill-treatment is incredibly mild and sporadic, and indeed seems limited to a small handful of ordinary comments. The only allegation Vincent, David and Alfonso made, apart from Mo taking away the tea towel, was that she seemed to be a bit left out when the other women were talking; this was followed by someone else - I can't remember who - saying that Amy was the one separating herself from the camp and choosing to sit on her own.”

I agree wholeheartedly with this WD, I cannot believe how the press etc are going over the top with this ridiculous 'bullying' story. I actually feel sorry for Lucy, she's not even a favourite of mine but the treatment of her is disgusting and way out of proportion to what is happening in the camp. Shame on ITV as well for making a mountain out of a molehill.

As for her being left out, it seemed to me that she preferred to be with Joey anyway.

Dry crying is pretty good cause for bitching too. Amy used the same whimpering, bottom lip trembling tecnique on the Katie Price programme when she wasn't getting her own way. It's so bad that it's actually one of the funniest bits in this dire seies of IAC

I think that a very simplistic viewpoint. If one person in a group acts in a deceitful manner, and is CAUGHT OUT in that deceit, it's quite understandable why that person would be shunned.

What a total idiot to make such statements

He claims the beauty queen, who has been branded "lazy", "spoiled" and "a cheat", only has herself to blame and needs to learn a lesson.

The Daily Star reports that Bruce, 55, an experienced triathlon competitor, told a pal: "She needs to stop being such a wimp and toughen up, stand up for herself."

I pity Amy to have such an idiot as a father . He's one of those parents who believes just because he's a tough guy and triathlon competitor, he expects his children to act the same .
I wonder did he even watch the show .

I bet its one of those families where the mother would be completely opposite to him .

He said out of the 20 odd days they have been in there that it would be hard to put together 15 mins of bad footage because they all got on so well.

I didn't see his interview but I'm inclined to believe him .

Those producers always prefer to show anything negative in the highlights, which doesn't give the complete picture .

The article is hardly him 'backing the bullies', well not in the sense the highly ambiguous title suggests anyway. He's pretty much said he can see why people think she's lazy. If you read the actual words, I don't see him saying he things his daughter being called a c*nt or having older women bitch about her is ok. He's merely agreeing she doesn't pick up after her self/ wash up etc. and perhaps she should stick up for herself more.

I also saw an article where their parents slammed the 'bullies'. Amy's sister has also come out publicly and said she has been disgusted with how Lucy (and others) have treated her.

Let's get a bit of balance here hey?

(for the record, I don't think anyone has been 'bullied', well not in the 'traditional' sense of the word anyway)

Someone also called her **** that had to bleeped out .
Someone also said only one ( Rebecca ) could stomach her
Someone said mentioned her accent and that only her assets were keeping her in .

It may not be bullying but its very unkind behaviour and they shpould be ashamed of themselves

great post.....ill add to the list if i may

you mentioned Lucy attacking Amy because of the work she does....she conveniently forgot to mention that she gets paid to judge beauty contests and does so willingly she also participates in lingerie shoots.

Now are these not the very things she hates about amy's profession?how did she keep a straight face whilst going off on one?

Layla consoled Rebecca the night of the merge by telling her that she was better than Amy...whoah what? she did not know Amy.what was she basing that on?

All this stuff happened before any concealer or laziness argument so if you have a brain, you can tell the issues were with Amy based on appearance and nothing else.

Lucy told her at dinner that she/they was/were not missed the night before.she said that to amy.it was not a joke.does anyone here make jokes like that to people they cant stand?it was meant...no matter how others try to twist it.

that's it for now. 3 of the not bullies...but horrible individuals have gone.it's what their behavior deserved and they all know it and i have a feeling Lucy knows it as well.

Do you think Amy was unkind when she implicated Alfonso in the 'hate campaign' saga.

Again spot on. People will hate me for even daring to suggest this but there should just be one thread on this where nothing but these things are put in. I would have a hell of a lot more to add as well.

The ONLY reason I say this is, not because I think we need more Amy threads (far from it) but because it's quite astounding the number of posters, many who I've seen in all these threads before, that seem to have completely (or conveniently) forgotten this kind of stuff. It's like it's not been addressed multiple times on here or it never happened. I've been asked a few times now to go back and quote exact posts but there are so many of these in so many different threads that for obvious reasons I don't have the time or the inclination. I just get tired of having to repeat the exact same answers 20 times!
It would be far easier just to say 'look in this one thread, it explains it all there'.

The worst thing is, it's often exactly the same posters time and again asking exactly the same questions of me. If I was a cynical man I might say that some are conveniently forgetting/ ignoring/ dismissing all these things for reasons other than memory loss.

It's the sniping behind her back and to her face that has caused them to be labelled bullies. Come on wonkey, if it was simply a case of them saying she was a bit lazy and needed to do more chores there would be no talk of bullying and the boys would not have taken it upon themselves to speak to her about the women sidelining her.

Talking about her in a factual sort of way would be nice. But bitching about her a bit is still NOT bullying.

And she is also to a great degree responsible for sidelining herself. If you don't join in, you don't help and you don't make an effort to talk to people is it altogether THEIR fault if others sideline you?

I think not.

By definition bullies only pick on those that are timid - reality shows have depicted many examples of this. Amy is pretty, well spoken, affable and demure - a prime target for ridicule and alienation by her tormentors.

The 'B' word is sidetracking us again. The debate then goes off track into people's definition of what is a bully. That's not really the main issue here.

Can we focus less on the 'B' word and more on what we actually CAN prove- i.e the bitchines, the perceived 'ganging up' that the 3 men all were concerned about, the snidy comments and the looking down her nose/ exclusion of her etc.

As I say, as soon as someone mentions the 'B' word, all the above gets lost as we argue basically over the definition of a word, and NOT the main issue at hand.

Just my opinion of course.
