Tablets with dongle support?
I'm just curious as to whether there are any android tablets which you can use a dongle with. I don't have WiFi at home so wouldn't be much point in me buying a tablet if I don't always have internet access. Thanks.

You could use a MiFi instead of a dongle. This takes a mobile data signal a a dongle but converts it to a WiFi thus allowing it to be used with any tablet!

An alternative if you have a suitable Smartphone and Mobile Data tariff is to use your phone. Some can create a WiFi hotspot using their built in WiFi capabilities. You can then connect other devices to that WiFi hotspot and use the phone to connect to the interweb.
However you really need a tariff that permits "tethering" as this connection method is known. Not all tariffs include it. |
