I don't think anyones training clips look bad, really looking forward to Saturday. Should be a good show.

I think the bum push was alluding to Marilyn Monroe

Pffttt...she finally puts some character into her dance and it is still not good (just kidding). Think that going with lifts for the swingathon is a good option, she is very capable with them and Alex Jones proved last time that they can keep you in the competition for a while (imagine that there won't be many couples going for liftcity on saturday).

Sophie doesn't look too bad in training. Glad she is injecting some character into the dance.

The gapping in Abbey and Aljaz's dance is driving me crazy. No doubt the judges will give it 10s anyway.

Natalie doesn't look as good as I thought she would, but I still think she'll top the leaderboard. Susanna looks dreadful and will probably come bottom.

Ashley looks good, but looks absolutely exhausted. This will probably affect his performance in the Salsa/Swing on Saturday. Not sure about Patrick, but he's definitely in danger.

For some reason they keep showing footage from Tuesday, which was their first day of training.

It may have been their first day of training but given that the gapping was wide enough to drive a bus through for the vast majority of their QS, I'm not convinced this will be addressed and corrected.

Most (if not all) of the footage is from Tuesday.

It possibly will not be, I was just pointing out that we are being repeatedly shown training clips from the same day. Personally, I'm finding it a bit disappointing. I would have liked to have seen if they have made any improvements throughout this week.

Sorry, I misunderstood. I thought you were excusing a fault because it was early in the week. Which is fair enough, it's a genuine excuse for the routine not to be polished. I'm just not convinced that particular fault will be addressed, which would be a shame.

I have only just noticed that the VTs are highly processed. The video images have been slowed down but the music is straight from the record rather than the sound from the studio. And the squeals and laughter from Abbey and Patrick are dubbed in.

Why don't they just show the original recordings of them in the studios?

Frauds!

Poor Ashley, his eyes look so dark and sunken. I did laugh as he sleep walked into shot while Ola was full on going for it though.

Sophie actually looks quite good. It's just a shame about the silly song choice and I don't think she'll ever correct her top line.

It looks like it's going to be a bad week for Susanna. You can't gurn your way through a bad AT.

These clips must be from earlier in the week as Natalie looked a lot stronger and more assertive in the footage that was shown on ITT yesterday.

Think the rumba could be a really good dance for Patrick.

ETA: Forgot all about Abbey. I hope she and Aljaz sort out the gapping to justify the inevitable 10's.

They never use the sound from the studio. In earlier weeks they just play a selection of songs that are being danced to that week so that the training footage of most of the couples has a song that they're not even dancing to played over it.

Exactly. They show a few couples with the same song playing. That's always been the case. There's also audio from the training room, but it's not 'dubbed in', they're just playing the audio from the two mics then overlaying an audio track. Sometimes they mute the training room audio if the couple are playing their actual track in the room and overlay that song themselves or a different one.
