He was even more fed up with his 35 tonight, but the thing is 35 is actually a really good score. I am even more convinced now that the judges just started dishing out the 9s and 10s too early and too freely. A 10 should be really rare.
i don't know if the fact that Ashley is starting to show anger will count against him in the public vote. Did I mis-hear or did he shout angrily when he was hooked off the Swing-a-thon?

Yes, I very clearly saw him go over to the judges' desk and shout "WHAAAAAT!?" I'm surprised more hasn't been made over that on here actually, I like Ashley but thought he came across badly tonight and may have just taken himself out of the competition!
I liked Ashley tonight. He's let his growing and obvious hatred for the show bubble to the surface and it's glorious.
I might be biased because I'm a Ash and Ola fan but for me that was one of the best Salsa performances by any amatuer on Strictly..
I don't think he hates the show. He and Ola have fantastic chemistry together, they seem to get along really well and I think he is really making an effort, I just think he's picked up on how unfair the marks are. If he hated the show, I don't think he'd care and just want to be off it.
But he is right, they should have been higher than 35 and should have stayed in the Swingathon as next to Natalie and Artem, they were the best.
As for public vote, I don't think a bit of fire and passion will do him any harm. The only problem I can see is that Len is vengeful and if he is in the dance-off, he will have to rely on the other judges and prepare for a volley from Len because he shouted at him. If he has to rely on Len to keep him in, I'm afraid he's gone.
But he might have enough of a bounce from last week to avoid the dance off. I hope so because this is blatant manipulation from the BBC with only two men left. They just want to keep their guy in and Patrick just isn't as good as Ashley at the moment. Ashley has grown whereas Patrick is regressing.

Patrick does something sedate, makes fewer mistakes and can get more marks by just acting. Natalie avoids risks for her back and Artem avoids the dance itself but they get high marks too. No wonder he is fed up.
I think Ashley is getting so hosed and such a raw deal and it's been so evident this week (as well as past weeks). I gotta rewatch the Salsa but it looked really good (i wish he had a 36 instead) and he was one of the best in the Swing-a-thon and yet he voted out 2nd? Makes no sense. It's sad cause he is improving but his scores stay the same. I feel so bad for him & Ola and I hope they had votes to be completely safe and avoid the dance-off. I would vote for them if I could and lived in the country.

Yeah there is so much inconsistency with how the judges scores/critiques the contestants.
I definitely understand Ashley's frustration and confusion with it all.

He was so fuming and in rage he dropped Ola!
I understand him though. But he has to hope he's not in the dance off and relying on Len to save him because Len is a senile old man who holds grudges
