Even though my house is apparently in a 4G area, I haven't managed to get 4G yet - but I haven't had a sim update either. As I mentioned on another thread, I scanned the available networks and 3 (4G) came up as an option. I selected it and it said my phone was registering on it. I don't know if that made a difference, as I got the 4.3 update through the other day and that may have been included on it. So as far as I'm aware, my phone (which is Three branded) is all ready to go, and I'm just waiting for the network to do their stuff. |

Try scanning the networks and see if 3 (4G) is available to you.

My trusty old iPhone 4 has just has the 15.6 carrier update too.
I'm guessing that my update will make absolutely no difference whatsoever? |

No the iPhone 4 not have LTE/4G.
