Yeah I think everyone is really happy for him and I haven't seen any negatives thrown towards him about his new role.

I love Johnny he is so sweet. I hope him and Mick can retain a good father/son relationship and be honest with each other. It's sort of a cliche for the father to joke on with his son about women so I can see why Mick was the way he was in tonight's ep.

loved all his scenes tonight, it felt like he had scenes with most of the square. I think dot and mick could have a cute little friendship.

Think this could be one of the things Danny was talking about when he said people would be surprised by his character. Most would assume the father would take it hard but it's actually Linda who will.

Agree. If he came on the show as a gangster then no one would take him seriously but he is playing a completely different role which has surprised everyone.

I think Danny played it perfectly. I suppose it wasn't right for Mick to be in floods of tears; he had to be the one supporting Johnny.


I do wonder if we'll ever see Danny play a really emotional scene as Mick - we've seen little bits so far, like with his first scene with Shirley in the living room and also last night with Johnny.

Yep regardless of what the public may think of Danny he is coming off as a lovely man IMO! Nothing but praise for him and his character.
