Shocked re Steve

Gutted What a nice bloke Steve Davis is. Really should have been in the last two!

He's a nice man but didn'treally make much of an impact. Only people old enough to remember him in his heyday as a snooker champion would be likely to vote for him, and even they (like myself) may have other favourites, like David (who comes over as more likeable than Steve).

Yep, totally agree - came across as a really nice bloke.

He ain't that nice. Cheated on his wife and has left her.

He had no chance of surviving tonight's vote.

The other two campmates who ran the risk of going ie Lucy and Al had far more airtime than him tonight. Al did the BTT and Lucy did the Dingo Dollars Challenge.

That's an interesting thought. I think that it is possible for two contestants with similar potential fanbases to get into the position where one gets all the votes that would otherwise have gone to the other. Perhaps all Steve needed was a David-free series.

Quite surprised Steve went. Wasn't expecting that one at all.

I wasn't either. Who IS voting for Alfonso? He's not particularly interesting, a bit annoying, and keeps saying that he wants to go. What fatal charm have I missed?

It's bizarre????

He has completely lacked any entertainment value as far as I'm concerned too....

As Alfonso has repeatedly made obvious he wants out, the people voting for him are the ones who like a bit of (moderate) cruelty by voting to keep him in

Not surprised at Steve being voted out. Nice enough guy, but he didn't seem to add much to the show. Whenever the camera went to him he just seemed to be sitting down with a "what the heck am I doing here?" look on his face. His trial was hilarious though.

That's called "life" mate. It doesn't make people good or evil. You sound like a Daily Mail editorial.

Yes those simple minded folk who haven't quite worked out that a plea to leave is reverse psychology.

As a Steve fan who was really looking forward to him being on IAC, I was highly suspicious of this camera zoom always with his face looking serious. Compare that to all the clips on their ITV2 show, then it looked like they didn't want Steve to shine or gain popularity from a new and younger fanbase. David was given far more airtime on the main show than Steve. Also Steve's experience on the show (as told on This Morning) barely matches up to anything we've seen so far. The whole show has become a highly exaggerated edited sham.

I was quite shocked at the amount of clips Steve was involved in, but we saw barely any of that on the Highlights!

I was beginning to find him boring, but after seeing the clips, he certainly didn't look like he was!

Saying that though. They all must be up to all sorts in a full day, but alas, we see a tiny glimpse of it.

Or rather, the editing has been mostly the 'feud'. Amy, Lucy, Alfonso etc. Shame we haven't really saw many funny episodes. Though I belly laughed at Steve in the task, he was hilarious

A mystery that I've also been <oldeeksmiley> at. He is the least charming person in there imo and while he can occasionally (albeit inadvertantly) be entertaining, he's quite a petty, boastful man with not much in the way of a personality. Almost a bore. I can't buy the idea that he's being kept in as punishment for wanting to leave - this only really happens I would have thought with panto-type characters that you love/hate and know you'll get value from - and I just can't imagine anyone expending that much energy (or money) on someone as essentially dull as Alfonso.

Never expected Steve to make an impact . He was known as boring Steve during his playing days .

I wonder has he been dropped by the BBC as a pundit from the snooker as the UK championships are now on .
I enjoyed Steve and John Parrot together . Much better then the boring Ken Doherty they now have .

2nd shock in a row for me - I am amazed that Vincent & steve are out before several of the others who are still there.

I very much doubt that he's been dropped. The BBC crew have mentioned that they miss him now he's in the jungle and even had his Spitting Image puppet in the studio. He should be back for the Masters.
