Hey everyone,
I'm considering getting my bellybutton pierced but can't help wondering if it's worth it- I am 23 and NEVER have my midriff showing- the only time anyone would ever see it is when I'm wearing a bathing suit.
Given that this will only be a few times a year, is it worth it to have a piercing that will remain hidden most of the time?
Anyone else have experience /thoughts on this?

I have my navel pierced and never have my midriff showing. I got it pierced for myself, not for other people. You will see it a lot and as you're the one who wants it, isn't that all that matters?

If you really want it, I say go for it.

I had mine pierced around 20 years ago. They didnt do naval piercing back then so I had it done with an ear piercing gun. It hurt. A lot.

Had it in for 5 years or so but then everyone started having it done so went off it.

I had mine pierced when I was 14 and I love it as much then as I do now. I hardly ever have it on show, only when Im in my bikini but its something I like.

I've got two rather more 'personal' peircings that would only be seen during more intimate times with others. I had them done for me and love them. I only wish I had had them done when I was a lot younger Go on... do it!
