Remember Gary Numan?
I was a fan of Gary Numan when he was with the Tubeway Army. Moody music, but with some great synth anthems. My 13 year old daughter recently discovered my old Tubeway Army and Gary Numan LPs and re-introduced me to his music. A quick look on YouTube and I found this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gWLVX5Ivvpw Utterly brilliant rock music with a cracking band. Still dances like a tw @ t, but who cares? Needs to be watched on a big screen and the sound piped through a decent audio system. Gary's grown up, and is all the better for it. |

I loved Numan back in the day such an under rated artist, loved stuff like Are friends electric, Cars, I die you die, Radio heart. I also wasn't amused then those Sugabints sampled one of his songs.
. I admit that I wasn't a fan of some of his darker stuff in the mid 90's, but overall he is a cracking artist & a legend in his own right.

LOL @ 'remember' Gary Numan. Not exactly a minor act was he. And yes, he was excellent - loved 'Music For Chameleons' and 'Change Your Mind' (with Bill Sharpe).

I saw him @ Sonisphere in 2010 and he was brilliant.
It was more like the Tubeway Army days of guitars and Synths. You could tell from his huge smile he was having the time of his life. |

I discovered him before anyone.
I remember telling my mates this guy will be big and that was just from the one single 'Down in the Park'. They didn't believe me yet a few weeks later The Tubeway Army were No 1 with 'Are Friends Electric?' Here's Gary with one of my other fav bands Nine Inch Nails, who also get a big sound out of their synths! Gary Numan with NIN - Cars His last album made the charts, so he's far from gone altogether |

For a long time I got him mixed up with Gary Oldman and thought he had moved from music into acting.

I was a fan from his first TV appearance on OGWT. Rushed out to get the album, which was on blue vinyl in those days.
I was a fan back in the day and still have a numbered Living Ornaments vinyl boxset somewhere. He always seemed so mysterious and aloof back then, but I saw him on a documentary recently and he seems really down to earth and normal. |

Loved Gary Numan and Tubeway Army. I didn't know they did Down In The Park on the OGWT. Top tune, together with Are 'Friends' Electric, Cars, I Die You Die, We Are Glass.
