Anyone got any experience of using a tablet by this manufacturer? I always thought of it as an inferior brand. Any opinions would be welcome.

They are quite big in the Russian market. Their tablets are nothing special. The only reason I have heard of them is because they make Android-based eReaders with an e-ink screen, which is quite unusual.

I have one and certainly wouldn't have another! I mainly use it for an ereader now. I don't use their own Prestigio reader, I use Alkido which displays all the covers instead of Prestigio reader which only displays some, and constantly crashes. There are always "browser not responding" "Facebook not responding" messages, even though I have a very good internet connection.

I think I paid about £190 for it and I had to pay £10 (postage and insurance) to send it back when the battery wouldn't charge. You can only charge it through the battery charger and not the PC which is another thing that irks me. They returned it about four weeks later without a word of explanation or apology. The battery doesn't last long either.

Look for something else, is my advice.

Prestigio tablets aren't bad - it's just that you can get a much better tablet for less these days. I had a 8" Prestigio tablet which I ended up selling then putting the money towards a Nexus 7 2013 which is what I should have bought in the first place. I haven't looked back.

I bought one from QVC and alright I mostly use my Mum's computer so have not used it much and I have other tablets as well for various reasons etc. But I have found no problem with mine and I have also purchased a dual sim Prestigio Smart Phone from QVC which I am also very pleased with as I am able to get catch up tv on it although BBC iPlayer does not seem to load properly.

I guess when it comes to tablets some will purchase these tablets but really want and IPad as well as know someone with an IPad and so as a result will find fault in cheap tablets.

I also have the Tesco Hudl which has some very mixed views although I find no fault and am able to get BBC iPlayer on it, it has Bluetooth the same as the Prestigio and plays music and movies and both have an HDMI out.

I would say why go for an expensive tablet when tablets such as Prestigio and Hudl are just as good and will make a brilliant Christmas gift for lots.

This is why I'm asking, cos of the Q tsv. I've had two Lenovo tablets from QVC, and both have gone back. I couldn't connect to the internet. The Prestigio brand of tablet has been manufactured in partnership with Archos, a brand I have no respect for, so I am, for that reason, out! (couldn't resist a dragon's den style quote!)

I have a Prestigo and I like mine it does everything I need it to do and have had no problems with it. From my experience I would recommend it to others.
