I recently bought a Viera Smart TV L42E6B and am able to use the Media Server app on the TV to view pictures stored on my PC. All seemed to be working fine until I added another folder of pics on the PC. The TV does not see this folder. I then removed a different folder and the TV "thinks" it can still see it - the old folder name and picture names are show, although the pics are not shown (as they are no longer on the PC).

It is as if the TV app is not refreshing and I can't find any way to make it do so. Any ideas?

Networks take a time to refresh , just the same if you were using 2 or 3 PC's on a network .

None of the items is faulty as such but the faster your PC or the faster your router is the better .

I eventually realised that the TV is being served by Windows Media Player Server. When I opened media player and played around a bit, it started refreshing and I can see the new pics on the TV now

Have a look at the Android app "beam" as well its actually better than the viera 2 app .

I think it must be called SHORTBEAM. I tried it and it seemed to work OK but froze a couple of times - may be that my phone had a system update to 4.2 today and that has caused the odd problem.
