Natalie is quite boring, good but bland. Sometimes I even forget that she's still on the show. I'd expect to see her in the dance off very soon actually because I don't think people are connecting with her.”

I think Nat's routines have been boring. It's a shame, as I think she has the potential to wow. I think she's holding back a bit and that there's no real chemistry between her and Artem. There have also been plenty of dodgy music/choreography choices.

Patrick is dull and he probably isn't that popular in general. Many will think he's nice enough and his dancing is fine, but will people vote for him?

I'm fairly neutral this year, there is about four of the remaining celebrities that I would happily see win, and if one of the others won I wont be biting the carpet in fury. So from that perspective I like a panel that clearly watches the show and is willing to give their genuine opinion. I didn't find any of the comments particularly unpleasant, there were no personal remarks(as far as I can recall) just personal opinions of the panelists, I certainly didn't agree with all of them though.

just because I can.

I think the problem? , if that's the right word, is that ITT is a sister show and so is supposed to be neutral. It can't be seen to favour one contestant over another (which I suppose is the reason even the bottom of the leaderboard dance gets the obligatory 'glorious') or be derogatory to one contestant without being the same to all of them

I remember many series ago when everyone coming into the ITT studio said they thought Mark Ramprakash would win. There was an awkward moment on the sofa after a vox pop of 'Marks' - must have been before the final 'cos Mark and Matt were both sat there looking a bit - and Claudia said something to the effect of 'don't worry, Matt, I've asked the studio Christmas trees and they all support you. Yes, it was daft and silly but it just took away that awkwardness.

It's not that panel members favour one contestant over another - it's that on a couple of occasions the balance seems to have been a bit skew-whiff - and possibly why Zoe could be heard muttering something like, 'that, of course' is your personal opinion' at one point

The thing is, It takes Two has become so cosy over the years that it is actually very rare to hear someone give a completely honest opinion. So when a guest says that they don't 'get' a celebrity, or don't warm to them, it actually sounds quite brutal.

Personally, I like to hear someone not beat about the bush in their comments. It's very refreshing.

The whole idea of having a Friday panel is for them to voice their opinions, otherwise, when Zoe asks "What do you think....." they'd all have to just say "lovely" which would be pointless.

Re Natalie it wasn't exactly harsh but it was the usual lameness. She's not my winner but that's not because she's spanked the opposition. That's a compelling reason FOR her to win in my book.”

I thought they wanted the panel to reflect what the public may be thinking. Yes Natalie's dance was beautiful but it wasn't a AS it was a show dance as many seem to be this year! Each of us is going to like different things in a dance, me being a bit boring likes to see content of the dance being performed to appropriate music. This year has been a take it or leave programme for me with no one amazing me, but has a new pro I do like Kevin

I also felt that Zoe was also uncomfortable with the line they were taking, hence her shutting down any further comment and changing to the next contestant. She probably felt the comments were a little too unfair as she was once in Natalie's position particularly being a past favourite because she was also that good.

I also dislike the term 'just too good' as it seemingly penalizes excellence and talent. Why can some in this country only appreciate the underdog? Other countries celebrate and promote their talented while we tend to disparage and dismiss ours generally in favour of the mediocre.”

So true......and this attitude doesn't translate well when we compete on the international stage. I for one am not insulted or offended by seeing dancing to a high standard on a dance show.
