Smart TV and Flash?
Hi
Thinking of buying a Smart TV but have a question. Will I be able to stream via flash through a web browser on the TV? i stream football games on my PC, would this be possible on a smart tv? thanks |

Pretty sure the answer is no. Doesn't work on mine and can't recall anyone posting that it does. Most smart browsers have many limitations. You are pushed towards the apps built for your specific device.

I know the Samsung 2012 Smart TV's could play these flash streams - so I doubt their 2013 offering would have taken that feature away. Maybe somebody could confirm though??
Pain in the arse using the remote(s) to navigate the web though so think about investing on a keyboard/mouse combo if you plan to use the web browsing.

i have a UE40ES5500 which i think is 2012 and i use it for the reason you stated. I've just bought (waiting to be delivered) a keyboard and mouse as the adverts that pop up over the picture are a real pain to eXit using the pointer browsing.
Apparently the new ones will support it and will be upgradeable when adobe update http://www.samsung.com/au/tv/support/faq.html I realise thats the au site but the best thing to do is ask when you buy. |
