To be honest bendy, as a non-dancer the level is not really all that important to a casual viewer like myself. It is the manipulation of the facts I abhor.

Had Kevin said he had never danced AT above demo level, I wouldn't have an issue. It is the fact he said he hasn't danced it at all that pisses me off. As I said in the ITT thread, it is no different to DVO protesting all she did was sit in a chair.

I think that any pro dancer, like Kevin, would have enough insight of any dance to put together a dem, even though they had not actually learned or danced it before.I think anyone could see that it wasn't a proper AT and probably was not meant to be.Just a dem as bendymixer says.

I haven't worked out that smiley either. It seems to have replaced the rolls eyes one which would have been perfect on this thread. You have missed Kevin on ITT saying on ITT that as a 10 dance dancer the AT is not something he is familiar with 'new to him'. There has then been posted a video clip of him & Karen Haur demonstration dancing in what looks like a village hall doing about 30 seconds of a dance that involved a couple of AT stlyle lifts & a bit of tangoish leg movements. The offending clip can be seen in the opening post. This has caused Kevin to be described as a liar. Really what he should have said is. Zoe I have never danced or choreographed an Argentine Tango before but I am a dancer & therefore I know what one is & I have been known to put the odd AT type movement into a dance in the past. I can give you dates, times & venues if it helps, but frankly I dont think Vincent & Flavia have anything to worry about

I was not aware of the back story to all this Jan I just was very amused by the whole video which made me laugh a lot and I am sorry the way it has been taken has upset Bendymix.

However as I say you were very quick to call people mean only a week ago and you have done it again. Perhaps having a bit of a sense of humour and not being so over protective of your chosen couple might leave room for some fun which seems sadly lacking at the moment.

In a thread earlier this week, someone said they were worried for Kevin as he hadn't/may not have/probably hadn't/something done an AT before.

A friend of the Cliftons replied saying 'not to worry', Kevin is well versed in the AT.

Tonight on ITT, Kevin says he has never danced an AT before.

I make a joke on the ITT discussion thread about Kevin making a liar of the family friend (but add that I believe the FF, not Kevin).

bendymixer then posts the link to confirm that Kevin does indeed know a version of the AT - the one we are used to seeing on SCD to boot


Watching ITT my initial reaction was amusement and I probably wouldn't have given Kevin's comment much thought beyond the fact it contradicted what a poster had said earlier in the week. It was only when bendy posted the link to back up that earlier comment (her comment?), that I was stunned into the realisation that Kevin had pulled the wool over our eyes.

Like I said, I haven't let Natalie get away with her "I haven't danced Ballroom" for three months, there is no way I won't call Kevin out too,

I had to watch it back three times to analyse it and obviously Peter Mandelson has been coaching him on his answers, but in general I think the "king of jive" is all clear in the kevgate scandal.

If the point of the "lie" per se was to what, get some kind of sympathy vote, why would they then advertise Kev's jive credentials for the swingathon. Don't really make an awful lot of logical sense to me.

I don't think I have lost my sense of humour although it's been hard at times recently & I have a bad cold. So I am going to take my own advice once given on here to a poster & boil my head in a bucket.
