I don't think I have lost my sense of humour although it's been hard at times recently & I have a bad cold. So I am going to take my own advice once given on here to a poster & boil my head in a bucket.”

Oh absolutely all friends. I did say "(no names)" in the ITT thread, but in all honesty that was for effect as I didn't have a clue who said what in the dances thread. I do not chase members around or wish to make fun of them, honestly

If SCD has taught us anything, it is that anything that anyone has ever said may be dragged up and used in evidence (often alongside relevant video footage) against them.

I am more surprised (i.e. not really surprised at all) that people are so defensive when this "evidence" is produced. Everyone involved in a "reality" tv show will manipulate/manoeuvre/massage the facts at times to produce an effect. So Kevin is saying he's never danced AT before where there is evidence to the contrary (at least in terms of title). Who cares? Only those who thought Kevin was whiter than white and never uttered a single word that could be misconstrued.

Well goodness me! We find out that Kevin can use words to mislead a bit just like the rest of them. What next? Tinkerbell remains dead and lifeless no matter how loud you shout and the yellow brick road really leads to a building site?

Having not watched any of it, I believe KFG, and would follow him to the ends of the earth or at least as far as Lincoln.

You say that, but look what happened last year to James and his Charleston with Denise.

Back to Kevin, I don't think Kevin lied. Professional dancers tend to regard dances that they haven't been studying for decades and haven't won couple of championship titles on as "New" to them. So I'm not surprised by Kevin's comment. His idea of 'new to him' is probably very different to ours. Just because he may have danced some AT inspired showdances in the past, doesn't mean he can teach and choreograph it. So the control is out of his hands for this routine, which I imagine is quite scary.

I like him, but I find his tendency for downplaying everything a tad fake. I guess he doesn't want to come accross as arrogant and cocky, but I think he is over-egging it a bit on the humbleness.

Or maybe he is taking advice by Susannah on how to come accross well on TV. LOL and ROFL and whatever else kids say these days with a cherry on the top if that's the case!

Ah. I must be privileged. My cat and I share a mutually fulfilling relationship in which neither one of us is dominant. I am not her "owner", nor am I her "staff".

I feed her, cosset her, make sure she's extremely comfortable, keep her health checks in order and ensure that she is not bothered by animals and people she doesn't want to be bothered with. In return she... erm... sprawls on my bed, eats premium food and walks on me at the most inconvenient hours of the day/night only to make me feel guilty for feeling inconvenienced.

Sorry, can I rething that "mutually fulfilling" relationship please? (Not that I would have things any other way.)

Anyway SCD AT isn't real AT. No lifts in real AT.

I'm with you about the smiley's. I've heard a lot of people say they are happy to get 'our' grin back. That isn't 'our' grin, it's an imposter

Yeah, had to laugh at Tabby's implication I could only be mad if I thought him whiter than white. The first and usually only thing I think when I see Kevin is "Why don't you have that gap bridged?"

No doubt my rant last night was wine-induced, I'm all calm now...well except for the fact that quoting you Edy has used up my own quota of smilies :friendlyeyeroll:

This will cause a bit of 'reverse psychology'. The more you criticise some people the more votes they may get.

I haven't voted yet in this series of SCD but Kevin and Susanna will be getting all my votes tonight.

I don't really understand what the argument is about?

As far as I can see he took the line of least resistance and agreed with Zoe. He probably didn't want to claim an expertise that he doesn't have or go into a complicated and frankly boring explanation of just how little AT he had done in what was supposed to be a brief interview. However it doesn't give him and advantage because

a) Only a small percentage of people watch ITT. Many are still travelling from work at that same time.
b) There is no reason why he shouldn't have danced AT. If anything it is commendable if he has. My ballroom teacher has learnt both salsa and AT. If Susannah has danced it before then that would be different.

Haha, well unlike yellowlabbie and Judge Dread, I don't really care who wins this year. Or more accurately, my favourites have no chance, so vote away

I do think it very unkind to call Kevin a liar, and I think it a bit hpocritical too condsidering that we hear every week that Abbey has no dance training whatsoever and yet she has failed to mention her own previous experience training for her girl band(was she really in a girl band her singing is dreadful)and of course her training from Brendon on that model show....But seriously to call Kevin out as a liar when if one watches that little clip it is rather obvious he has no experience, well its all very ingenuous really and unfair to Bendy who now feels very bad about the whole thing. Shame really.

Indeed, which does back up what he said. If he had have learned/competed with AT before, as a latin specialist, he would have made that look amazing. But it wasn't.

Lol it's like a singer saying they've never performed a certain song live - then someone showing a video of them singing it messing about drunk on a karaoke night out

But Kevin wasn't messing about, this was a professional dem. As I said in previous posts, this is not an AT. Its very much Ballroom Tango based but with Argentine Tango inspired lifts.

I have seen many dems, and have never paid. Quite often they may be during a social evening, or during a comp for example. I was competing at a comp in Birmingham area once, and during the evening, The Jordans did a dem. Never paid for that, came out of the promoters pocket.

When I first saw the thread title, I thought it was one of those doge memes.
