I find it incredible that the only think those poster in the MF can talk about is how 1D will be over soon, that they have no future, that the teenagers are moving on... When their current album is selling like crazy, especially in the UK!
It's like we should be praising all those other X factor acts who are not selling half of what 1D is, but admit that 1D are about to disapear into oblivion... which doesn't exactly represent the current situation, does it? I wonder if I live in a parallel universe.

Yes they will decline & end in the future, but so will almost every musical act in the charts!

BTW, any figures for this week's album sales?

Very good for 1D. I don't get the obsession we have with Robbie in this country though. I think he's OK, but on the whole he is highly overrated.

That is too true. They don't even have any logic behind their split theories especially as you say with the album performing so well. Yet you mention one bad thing about Leona Lewis and they're at you with a pitch fork.

This is very sweet. The boys (minus Zayn) suprise some children watching the film from the ray of sunshines charity.

One Direction fans left without tickets after travel company folds

I wonder why the tickets aren't issued right away instead of waiting for ages to send them to you. There would be no issue then.

Official UK 3rd Week Sales for Midnight Memories - 120,894

From Musicweek's sales report:

Quote:
“Every album in the Top 10 enjoys an increase in sales week-on-week, except the aforementioned One Direction album Midnight Memories, which falls 2.90% week-on-week to 120,894.”

Total now 483k! Less than 200k to beat Emeli Sandé. Bublé is selling a lot as well (54k last week) and is still 50k ahead. So they also need to overtake him. Emeli Sandé only sells about 10k each week, probably more the next two weeks.

They might even go double platinum (600k) this week!!

I am glad that they seem to be holding so well in the UK, it is almost unexpected, isn't it? I mean that it didn't happen with their 2 first albums, I think, even though they did very well...

(but let's not forget they are on their way out, their career is clearly almost over )

Yes, obviously they're going to split next year, because being in One Direction is such a miserable job

I saw an interesting stat in the buzzjack forum:
MM's total after 3 weeks is 60% higher than TMH's. If we assume this trend is going to continue for the next 2 weeks (week before and after Christmas) and compare it to these two weeks last year (actually week 6 and 7 of the album), we can project a total of 719k the week after Christmas (last charts of the year).
Emeli Sandé would need to sell 30k per week (3 times what she did last week) to beat that.

I look forward to the sales in the US, their SNL performances seem to have been very well received on saturday night last week, so hopefully it was good & effective promo for the album.

Oh I love me a bit of Robbie! Robbie was the cheeky chappie of TT back in the day. So many see him as arrogant and full of himself but it is all a taking the pee out of himself act. It is a bit like the boys and their personalities. If you don't follow them you don't know this but I have watched Robbie from when he was 16 and although never a big TT fan I have always loved Robbie and his highs and lows. He's not the greatest singer but he can hold a tune and is a great showman. I have seen him live 3 times and he really knows how to hold an audience

MM (the song) up to #48 on itunes. Seems people didn't hate it as much as people here on DS It's even higher than Elton John and Gary Barlow's duet, which seems to have been received a lot better

This is DS , the fault finding forum Remember their last performance was all about the miming. This time they couldn't say they mimed because Niall was totally off so had to pick something else

Agree. If I have to read that story from one member about their daughter taking her poster down of the boys one more time then I think I will scream.
Hopefully the performance will actually encourage people to buy the album this week. Still don't want to see the song released as the next single. Liam's comments about the next video being a funny one seem to limit the choices from the album to perhaps Happily or Midnight Memories so I hope it will be the former.

I think that's fair enough. I'm glad they highlighted that this is not to stop fans coming up to him and only the paps.
