Excited for Zayn as this seems to be one of his fave songs. I was wondering why they were rehearsing it last month if Ready To Run was to be 3rd single. Hopefully it'll give the album a push and whatever second song they perform on SNL does the same in the US.”

I guess you might just be right....

I agree, it's a good decision. Wasn't too sure first, but surely everybody will have heard NC by tonight It's going to be top 10 this week regardless (and probably also next week).
It doesn't really suit the atmosphere of the X Factor final at Wembley Arena anyway. Just imagine WDBHG, what a tune to sing to a big crowd!!

Depends if we can trust DigSpy

"Saturday night will also feature performances from Ed Sheeran - who will sing 'Photograph' - and Meghan Trainor, who will treat viewers to her Grammy-nominated single 'All About That Bass'.

Meanwhile, Sunday night will see Sam Smith performing 'Stay With Me' with a 200-strong choir, while One Direction will perform 'Where Do Broken Hearts Go' and Olly Murs and Demi Lovato will take the stage for their duet 'Up'."

Andi: Have you bought the new concert DVD in the end?

I really liked it:
- sound & image quality were great,
nicely shot,
the boys did very well and are on point (I think the only song that doesn't translate like I wish it would is Little White Lies (at the beginning), which is one of my favourite song of MM),
the mood is enthousiastic & joyous -like a 1D concert.
- the featurette about the tour rehearsal & preparation for the DVD was actually interesting too.

I would be very happy for the boys to sing Where Do Broken Hearts Go in the Final of X Factor. As it is at Wembley then it would work far better imo and also might be an indication that they have chosen this as next single rather than Ready To Run. Funnily enough tv presenter Matt Johnson tweeted his love for this song just the other day and I think it will be a song many older viewers will love
Watch them sing Night Changes now. .

I have it. Haven't had a chance to watch it yet. I believe it has all the songs in the concert? The movie in October missed quite a few. Can't wait to see it at the weekend.

The boys interview with Greg James at the BBC Music Award

I see lots of pics with the boys & different interviewers on twitter, so it looks like we'll get another batch of interviews.

Not the best Award show I have to say. The show is a celebration of songs played by BBC in the last year, which explains why they sang Steal my Girl.

Agreed! At least once again would have been great exposure for the song (especially considering they aren't performing it on the X factor).
Oh well, it will be good album promo to perform 3 different songs from the same album in 3 major TV shows during the same week... Hopefully.

Today's midweeks:

1 Ed Sheeran - x (71.7k)
2 Sam Smith - In The Lonely Hour (54.4k)
3 One Direction - FOUR (40.8k) --> 5k more than same time last week
4 Olly Murs - Never Been Better (40.0k)
5 Take That - III (37.6k)

NC up to #7, SMG down to #15.

FOUR sold more than 10k yesterday alone! Will be very close between thkem and Olly for #3, I doubt Take That are going to overtake them... Plus, Olly Murs has his own TV special tomorrow night, so he will probably overtake with huge Saturday sales...

I'm hoping for 70-80k by Sunday, which would be great, another increase after last week being already higher than the second week.
By the way, it's already way past platinum (300k)!

You mean the whole show or also their performance? I had a feeling it was going to be a bit boring, as there seemed to be a dozen acts, some of them performing songs that were hits back in spring or early summer... Like a year-end-chart show...

Just popping in from Leona's thread.

I actually thought that 1D brought some much needed energy and excitement to a very dull show.

Speaking as an older demographic Night Changes is very good indeed. I much prefer it to Steal My Girl which is fun and catchy, but much less haunting.

In fact, my first 1D download.

No I meant the whole show, it didn't flow very well. The boys were fine although Harry sounded a bit nervous. Reading the autobiography Niall mentions that he is the one that is really nervous for tv shows but fine in stadiums .

And yes the book really didn't tell us anything that we didn't already know except for Liam confirming what we all thought which was he started off every x factor song because he had the most experience

Do you have any idea what Greg James was referring to when he asked them if he could say what they were doing at the weekend? They said no, but surely they weren't talking about the X Factor final?!

No idea, I agree it didn't sound like it was about the X Factor.
But it's something to look forward

Hilarious. I love it and need to save this.

That was indeed the moment that I took Zayn fully into my heart.

Before that I was KMT thinking 'who is this brat, that is refusing to do a little two step on the stage? Who does he think he is?'.
But from this moment I fully understood. He was trying to protect himself and us from this mess of a tragedy. Bless him so much. He's a trier after all!

Of course the puppy dog eyes at Simon just before he agreed to go back out started off the melt down in my heart.
