Will look into these threads in the MF, but Modest's number are usually right, I noticed they've updated it from 47 million to 50 million records sold since the release of FOUR. Seems about right, almost 2 million albums sold, 1 million songs downloaded since November 17 and a few hundred thousand DVDs sold.

US numbers:

One Direction’s Four is steady at No. 7 with 101,000 units (up 22 percent), with album sales comprising 88,000 (up 22 percent) of that figure.

Total Sales + Streaming = 769,000
Total Sales (Without Streaming) = 713,000

--> FOUR is #6 (up from 17) and #20 ("standard version", up from 37)
--> SMG is #23 (up from 27) and 97 and 100 (each up more than 70 places)
--> NC still #10 (no considerable effect so far, but hardly surprising, as the gift card effect tends to benefit the most successful songs in the last few months.)

US:
--> FOUR up to #7 (from #11 yesterday, when it had already rise due to the Christmas special)
--> SMG #44 (up from #58)
--> NC down 4 places to #22


I guess they've been doing many things right this era so far. Even though the hype has gone a bit, they're still really successful in loads of countries. The interest still seems to be there, if they continue to make good music and are ready to promote it to a certain extent (if only to make the fans happy and remind them that they're still there and ready to fight for the top spot; I sometimes doubt the effect promo has on "normal adults", when they see them perform to hoardes of screaming teenage girls ).

According to mediatraffic (which isn't entirely reliable), One Direction have got two albums in this year's top 11

#7 FOUR - 1.936.000 copies
#11 MM - 1.708.000 copies

(#1 is the Frozen Soundtrack with over 7 million, #2 is Taylor Swift with over 4.5 million: http://www.mediatraffic.de/albums-2014.htm)

Album sales a lot lower than last year (apart from the top 3), when MM was #6 with 2.5 million, TMH at #8 with 2.4 million and UAN #37 with 1.1 million copies sold (http://www.mediatraffic.de/albums-2013.htm).

That means MM is now at 4.2 million worldwide, whereas TMH was at 5.3 million at the same time last year. Not too bad I'd say

In any case, we're going to get official (IFPI) numbers some time in January, I think.

I know bits and pieces have been posted already but this is the full One Direction Special that was on NBC earlier this week. Watch it quick before it gets taken down! The first minute or two the sound is minimal but it goes up after that. Although it's still a bit quiet so I plugged in my headphones. It was a great show. They are such cuties. Zayn looked so dreamy thoughout and they were all so lovely in it. Such sweet guys.

Happy New Year to all in the 1D at. Here's hoping for another good year for the boys in 2015. Who would have thought back in our X Factor days they would have lasted this long and been so massive. I hope what ever their future the make the right decisions and can continue to do what they want for as long as they want

They are cheaper however for this next tour I think their management is taking the pi$$ a bit. In the 02 it's now £149 for the front blocks that were £45 on the TMH tour. That's such a massive jump.

Edit. Perhaps my info about the seat prices was wrong? Just had a look and the top price seems to be around £70.
