I do get the feeling that it will be a long time till they comeback if ever. Sandy, their bass player tweeted earlier that it was the last time the he and the other three band members he works with will be together. Their vocal coach Helene tweeted a similar thing a couple of weeks back. It all seems rather final. They may have said a year or 18 months just to soften the blow for fans. Of course, there is nothing to stop them reuniting in 10 years time and doing a Take That, but I get the feeling that they have had enough for now and just want a very long rest. I also don't think Syco have done a very good job promoting the new album over here. Columbia got them on tons more shows in the US and the album is still top 5 there. Over here it's 9. Quite disappointing.

They say they are coming back in 18 - 24 months, I believe them. They may not come back with Syco, but they are smart boys they will make the right decision, and I predict a huge comeback.

I am also looking forward to their various projects during their break.

By the way, History would have been a much better single choice than Infinity. It's already up to #6 on itunes. Of course it was performed on Alan Carr last night, but it's way higher than Infinity at #56... History sounds better live and seems to be very well received by the general public.

I agree about History, although I get the sentiment behind Infinity, it is just not a great song and should not have been considered for a single.

It's crazy how History is taking off on itunes! It's at #3 only behind the X Factor winner's song and Justin Bieber's "Love Yourself". They have never had such a big X Factor boost before! Shame it's not the next single

Great decision from their management to make History the next single. Hope they have a music video to it. Their performance of the song was superb and emotional on X Factor and probably gained them some new fans .

Hurrah for History. I like the verse for Infinity but the repeated Infinity word is not as good as most of their music.

I am determined to think they will be back with some surprise concerts - which will sell out in seconds.
