I disagree. I say if they're interested, they should be allowed. And for all we know, Justin Timberlake made the break permanent because while he was in the group, management was inflexible in allowing him to pursue other projects. Justin blossomed when he went out on his own. That wouldn't have happened if he was stuck in the group forever.
This "boy band" thing will not last forever. Each one of them should lay the frame work for life outside the band in the future.
