Completely agree about them making stuff up. I keep seeing tweets saying Harry wants to host the Brit awards alone or co-host with Grimmy (now as much as I wouldn't particularly like him doing it on his own doing it with Nick would be the worst thing ever, I find that man quite irritating) obviously with no source at all. Such BS by the looks of it.

Earlier I saw a really long piece of writing on twitter saying how Harry basically helps himself to get into the press by going out of his house. Also that they thought the other boys were abandoned because they aren't in the papers as much. I mean for starters if the others were bothered about that then they WOULD go to more high profile places etc. I also thought with it being known that Harry's pictures are worth the most out of the 5 it is pretty expected that he would be in the news more frequently. And as much as people may argue it is simple to me that Harry Styles is the most famous within One Direction, granted maybe not in the fanbase but outside of that then he definitely is so I don't see why some fans are getting annoyed just because he is papped more than the other guys. It's hardly his fault!

Sorry about the rant, this tweet annoyed me though, I even replied to it stating my opinion and I think other replies were similar.

tbh, while I don't think that the boys are about to split right now IMO, the fandom is another matter...

It is currently made of different factions that all claim they want the boys to be equal & that they love them all, but quite a few really just want their "fave" at the forefront. (I am not even mentioning the shippers, it's a separate matter).

There are rants on twitter: we should be talking less about Hendall (& I agree with that BTW!) & more about Zayn/Louis/Liam (maybe a bit less with Niall because he is getting his share of attention).
But instead of talking about that person, some basically just complain, play the unfairness card & even sometimes try to subtly put down the boy that they perceive as the main threat to their favourite. 1D isn't just Harry, but it would be nice if, instead of taking this opportunity to take shots at one of the member of the group they suppositely looove, they would actually start a convo about the person they want to talk about.


I agree that if Louis, Liam & Zayn wanted to raise their profile, they know how to & would do so... They probably are glad to not be dragged into the mudd as often in those gossip stories.

I am conflicted about Harry:
I would be relieved if he came back to the UK and went back to his family because the fans & press might have less to speculate about,
but I am also so glad that he doesn't let those people rule his life & does whatever he wants!

Exactly! He doens't seem to worry, so we shouldn't either I had to stop reading things on twitter and tumblr a long time ago, I just enjoy their music, I'm happy for their massive sales and read whatever you or anybody else in this AT posts. I can't be bothered by anything else going on in the fandom anymore, just a wast of time

Yeah there are always tweets saying "xxxxx is so unappreciated" etc. but like you say why don't they just talk about said member and appreciate them instead of moaning.

I'm pretty sure the other boys have said before that they feel sorry for Harry with all the extra press attention he gets so yep I'd have thought they are glad to not be in the spotlight quite so much.

With Harry I do agree that it would be nice for him to just be at home but I think he is just doing what wants to and if skiing with the Kardashians is what he wants then so be it. Good on him for not letting the paps stop him.

Though being quite honest I'm still not sure on this whole 'hendall' thing and whether it's PR or not.

That's probably the sanest approach to things

Hahaha, they're soooo hopeless at doing scripted promo... I kind of feel bad for these Japanese people, they must have prepared a really nice promo sequence and the guys just couldn't follow the instructions... One of the Japanese producers was even crying

By the way, I just heard SOML on my local radio station. They keep playing it very regularly (it's #10 in the overall airplay chart, most big radio station are playing the song!) and SOML is slowly climbing back up the Swiss itunes charts (it's now around #20). I didn't follow itunes charts at the time WMYB was gaining some steam over here until it reached a peak of #16 in its 14th week.
But all of their other singles entered high and then dropped out fairly quickly.

SOML is really different... It entered at #13 and is still top 30 after 9 weeks. Judging from its current itunes position, might get closer to top 20 this week.

In Germany, it's even at #10 on itunes.

So even though I'd love to see the new video for Midnight Memories, I'm glad they're still holding it back for a while...

Apparently, Brit Awards nominations are announced this Thursday (9 Jan), let's hope for a few nominations, preferrably those voted by the public

I don't believe it will happen, but I would like for them to be nominated for the group one again & in a perfect world to win.

I think there is a good chance for them to be nominated, but to win it if it's not voted by fans is another matter...

It's too bad SOML isn't going to have sold enough for best single, it would have been worthy of winning. But I really wouldn't be quite so enthousiastic if their cover of OWOA snapped that nomination although I know it sold more.
