Some fans seem to have decided that Harry can't sing his part well in SOML, but I just don't hear it like that. They were all on point.
Maybe it's his expression when he sings that makes them think it's hard & he is straining instead of being effortless... I love his energy, but maybe that's something they could work on, so that people stop looking for imperfection.
I love that they sang Through the Dark, and it was really good too!
It seems they chose to showcase their "folky" side there, I hope it will entice people to check out the album!
The skits were OK too, but I hope that the rest was funnier for Paul. I found the older fan who was winding up the other fans quite accurate in some of the things he said (don't you know your facts?).
Overall, they made me smile rather than laugh.”
BIB i agree with you... never found anything wrong with harry's performance...
i guess the fans are just so used to the boys' over-all image and "unspoken mantra" being "natural" and "not trying hard"
over-all this is the impression i get with their songs and i think it's cool... except i think they have to make an allowance with harry as he usually gets the more difficult chorus parts... a song can not stay in the same plane, it has to go somewhere and more often than not, when it calls for angst, it goes to harry...
i'm in two parts about the choruses of SOML being divided say between harry and zayn... coz as much as it will take some strain off harry, it may also make the song uneven... i mean it's already uneven as the other parts can be sung in the "cool" way described above but at least you know when the chorus kicks in (coz harry leads all of them)... besides, if zayn gets a chorus like that, who knows how he'll subvert it to sound "cool for school", "slick" and "effortless"... *not that i say one style is better than the other as i really also enjoy harry's from the gut style*
gosh, i hope my post isn't too unclear, lolz!!
