I agree with that, they should try to take their time a bit more... They have met a lot of interesting & different people and apparently have tried writing with them. They don't have to stick to the first songs they wrote with Bunetta (though I really like MM the album) and I hope that they remain open to whatever else is coming their way.

I think that the boys have everything to gain by trying new things, and they can go on working with Bunetta or Savan K as well, & then decide later what makes the cut for the album.

I think the Naughty Boy thing with Zayn might just be a guest vocal thing for him and Emele Sande rather than a sign of 1ds new sound. I think it's going to be a smash if it is as they both have great voices.

And I think it would be great to see the boys feature on someone else's track anyway, whether individually or as a group. A couple of good collabs could help promote them outside the fanbase.

I just find that band a bit irritating. His voice annoys me and that 'samey vibe' as you say is so ridiculous. Like you listen to one song and there's no point listening to anymore tracks because they litrally sound so similar.

Ooh I would love for this to happen. If he had a hit outside of 1D it would be amazing and also give the interviews more things they can ask directed to just Zayn. I also hope it would showcase his vocals more too, especially to non-fans of One Direction.

I happen to like The 1975 and wouldn't mind them going for a similar sound. I think that would suit them better than Naughty Boy or Pharrell (who has been phoning it in for the longest time now).

I also like Little Black Dress and wouldn't mind them doing rockier stuff, though I also like the more poppy stuff, just a big walking unpopular opinion I am I guess.

His voice and Emeli's would work really well together, he's got the most mature (and best) voice in 1D I think. I can see Emeli and Naughty Boy taking him under their wings, they seem lovely people and so talented. I reckon the studio session could be for Emeli's 2nd album which I'm guessing she will put out this year. Or an extra track for Naughty Boy's record. Or perhaps they were just trying things out and we'll never get to hear what they've done

I thought the band's record contract might restrict them from recording individually but I'm glad to see it doesn't. I doubt the Zayn fans who don't like 1D can wait three years to hear him sing solo. I liked NB's "forget what you think you know" - that's the sort of music industry endorsement that they need. Not that Good Charlotte, Fall Out Boy and The 1975 don't carry a tonne of weight...

Yeah I think they were going along with the bandwagon. I think they'd be more suited to be the support act for the UK leg. I would quite like that but I doubt it will happen. No news on that yet. I really hope it is someone at least half decent and not completely unknown. When I saw Steps live a few years ago on their reunion tour one of the support acts was 'Shockolady'! I had never heard of her and she was absolutely awful...

Niall's dream come true! I bet he'll join them on stage. I wonder if the songs he is writing with the McFly boys could be a new release for them rather than 1D. I thought the McBusted thing (which I love) was just for a tour but maybe they will do a joint album. Although musically I think Busted are pretty much dead. I like that McFly are still great friends after 10 years together, it's a good model for 1D (rather than Take That, NSYNC).

The MCBusted thing is a way to make £££££$$$$$$ LOL! Backstreet Boys and NKOTB did it a few years ago when they combined for a tour to make NKOTBSB! It gets the bands to reform and the fans of these groups from years ago want to go and see them so the groups get to rake even more cash!
