The dance was as expected, the training footage showed Natalie mainly wafting a skirt (and Artem sniffing it).

At the time of viewing, I was utterly absorbed and thought it fantasic. Taking a step back, there was a lot of skirt wafting and I'm a bit disappointed that Artem didn't give her more to do. We know she's capable of it.

You could be right, in which case he should find himself another job because dancing, as in acting, is largely about getting up close and personal.

That's true, something is missing when they have the ingredients to be fabulous. Tonight's dance had the right costumes, the right music and still they managed to not get it quite right although I blame Artem's choreography for that. Their dances are all starting to look a little samey too.

Could they be in trouble tonight? ”

THey miss both targets. its neither artistic enough or strong on storytelling on one side, or focused enough on the actual dance.
It ends up, as Len says, being faffing...........

I really disliked the choreography for her tonight. She danced what she was given very well but I was really expecting to be wowed and I felt like I was waiting for something to happen.

Indeed, the Paso is just an overelaborate bovine scent-marking display.

I think she is a great dancer and I like the choreography and don't see anything wrong with it. She is just too competitive for me, too desperate to win. I like to see someone humble and to have fun. She takes it far too seriously for my liking.

Natalie has a lot of dance talent - don't think Artem's routine did her justice to be honest

I don't think the choreography has done her any favours at all for the past fortnight. It's a shame when the celebs get punished for something outside their control. I guess they also benefit from good choreography too.

Exactly it. The first half I was thinking "when is it going to start?" the second half was disappointing realisation that that is all we were getting.

My personal opinion is that Natalie is being letting down by Artem, she is being unfairly marked down because of his refusal to follow the basic rules of each dance, really it's nothing to do with her she is just dancing what he teaches her and she dances it well

I like Natalie as a person, but never enjoyed her dancing and feel that Artem might be the reason behind it.

Yes but it would be Artems fault. by a clear mile, she should be here next week, If she is knocked out, for me its just a big a disaster as the storm!!

What was wrong with the routine was the lack of Paso Doble steps - there really is more to the dance than just walking about wafting a skirt. It is a partner dance, and at least 75% of it should be danced with some kind of hold or close connection (such as close side-by-side steps).

I sort of get the impression that Natalie lacks confidence, which means it is even harder for her to risk mistakes or failure than someone who has the confidence not to worry too much. They're probably all pretty desperate to win.

Considering everyone here was up in arms about Natalie's casting because of her "extensive dance background" and the fact that she practices 30-40 hours a week, yet turns out such underwhelming routines indicates there is something very off: may it be the choreography or the partnership.

I actually feel a little bad for her. Their's is such a business type relationship, so formal and impersonal. I can't imagine their rehearsals are much fun.

I agree. I didn't like Artems choreography tonight. There was too much wafting with a skirt and not a lot in hold. Still really enjoyed it.

I knew when Artem kept emphasizing flamenco, flamenco hands, flamenco styling, taking her to a flamenco show, that we wouldn't get a proper paso. Yes, paso has elements of flamenco but it's an embellishment. Flamenco is a separate dance altogether.

I loved it. Artem is an amazing choreographer and his pasos are always stunning. Natalie danced it exceptionally well.

Perhaps natalie is aware of all the "you're a professional" bashing she is getting on here and other places and has asked Artem to tone it down so it doesn't looks so professional.

And after her exhaustion maybe she would rather do a less technical dance excellently than a dance packed with content that she messes up because of stress and tiredness.

I think artem is a brilliant choreographer but is also a very kind person who knows how to get the best from his partner. They'll pull It out the bag - you'll see the jive reborn next week if they get through.

It was a good routine, but not as a Paso. I don't know why he doesn't just stick to the rules, if it is for the public I think they may be running out of patience which is a shame as she is a good dancer.

Im disappointed yet again with Natalie and Artem

More Artem tbh - why does he insist on all this swooshing and armography in every dance? Why doesnt he do anything in hold? what is his problem?

Its Natalie I feel sorry for, he is really messing with her chances here, she is perfectly capable and a beautiful dancer but she is being held back by her pro for some reason......

Its a bit of no chemistry and connection between them and not enough of the actual dance content because Artem loved to rebel. Also her dramatics are ott .
