Not all of us are obsessed with that vastly over-rated game they call football, she has worked hard off her own bat to get were she is today.

I know it is not Strictly, but Amy Willerton on this year's IAC, these shows have been going quite a few years so the pool they can drink from is now very shallow.

As Ian Waite pointed out on ITT last week, Abbey's topline and head position were better than Sophie's (I to was spitting feathers at the judges for not giving Sophie a 10 for her VW), last night Abbey had a far superior top line.

Abbey has been the most successful BNTM model, despite not winning. She was selected to star in a joint US/UK produced fly-on-the-wall documentary series on breaking into the US modelling world. Pre-Peter and off the back of her own popularity. She's presented fashion segments on tv shows and was a regular guest on James Cordon's World Cup show - I'll give you that one because of Peter, but there is no doubt she was and is successful in her own right. If anything, I imagine her marriage has been as much a hindrance as an an asset to her career.

Either way, she is a lovely girl with an admirable work ethic. I loved that she bounced off that swing-a-thon floor and continued to dance along even after being eliminated. She has spirit.”

She was also singing along to their song whilst she danced it last night, and was very embarrassed when she tripped up on the stairs during last weeks entrance, she shows the has the nice touches we can relate to. She is the one who has improved the most and will continually get my votes because of this and I hope she goes on and wins it.

Sophie's Charleston really was something, but I still think she's not matched that since.

I love Abbey's dancing and if personality does come in to it she seems charming.

Reading these boards I wonder about her public support but I've hardly voted this series so far. Unless she starts dancing poorly Abbey will be getting my votes the final two weeks.”

Never vote until the final two weeks - but had to last night for Abbey, top dancer but after that Swing thing, she went down to 3rd, I think, so I had to Vote.
Not one to seeing who's out before tonight's show, so I'll be on the edge of my seat.

Abbey is peaking exactly at the right time . None of her routines have been perfect ( despite the 40 awarded) and whilst still working hard she appears to be thoroughly loving it - without moaning groaning how hard it is!

After last night I think she's the one to beat now

I agree Tissy - but she sure got away with some foot faults last night her attitude to dancing is like her attitude to work in general she really does just knuckle down and gets on with it she really is a hard worker

You are basing that post on an article in the Daily Fail????????? The girl seems to be working damn hard on Strictly and you don't get to the top of a cut throat business like modelling without being hard working and good at the job.

Do you think Danielle Linekar and Colleen Rooney would have got high profile modelling/advertising/tv assignments if it wasn't for their famous associations?

And so what if Abbey is working hard on Strictly? Most of the contestants are!

She's refreshingly un-neurotic isn't she. Seeing her just makes me feel happy.

I'm basing that on everything I know about her. She's on Strictly because she married Crouchy, no other reason.

Her love of the competition really shines through and her dancing makes me smile. She has completely won me over when there were many other celebrities I expected to support more.

I think Craig said something like she was the surprise of the competition. She really is amazing!

For me as well, her top line maybe good but her dress was too long and her footwork is never great.

If Aljaz puts that move of Abbie lunging backwards over his left arm again I shall scream the same its the same move in every dance she does.

I agree as well Tissy. Abbey is looking like the typical Strictly winner i.e. not the best dancer, but good enough and popular.

Last night though she was lucky enough to get a great music choice (good enough to be a 'repeat' choice), a beautiful dress, and no theme. I say 'lucky' because who knows why the producers make the choices they make for each couple every week?

Abbey & Aljaz looked like the best because most of the other pairs did not look good in some major way (the exception being Ashley & Ola).

I voted for Abbey (and others), but she is not my favourite. She just had a good night when the others did not.

If she wins, I could live with that.

PS I also think Aljaz being a Ballroom Boy showed up big time!

Not a fan of hers at all, but in my humble opinion she's the best dancer. Helps that her partner choreographs (sic) to her strengths, unlike other male pros that go out to showcase themselves.

this. its all fallen perfectly for her, and she has grown in abulity and confidence and likeability throughout. i thought she was just superb last night, without any need to be 'perfect' and that is what makes her my preferred winner.

second only to patrick who unfortunately, i think doesn't stand a chance...

I think that just about sums it up for me - a good night, but not my favourite.

Of all the high profile WAGS, I can only think of one that doesn't use her husband's surname.

I'm no Ballroom expert, but I thought her posture was unbelievably elegant last night and her new love for dancing is infectious. She's been a good competitor, I'm glad she was cast for the show.

And yet her husband's name has been mentioned on the show ad nauseum. It's one of the reason why I don't watch many other reality shows because a nightmare contestant to me is someone who or lets others bang on about their famous connection - I put up with it on strictly because despite all it's faults I generally enjoy the show.

I personally wish they wouldn't cast WAGS on strictly - I know they will continue to do so but I find the whole idea shoddy. I've got nothing against Abbey personally - I just dislike the idea of someone getting an opportunity mainly because of a famous connection - I dislike it more so on the BBC because it's public license fee funded - I'm not so bothered that it happens on the other channels because they're commerical and I'm not paying for their shows.

I just love watching her and Aljaz do ballroom routines. They're so perfectly matched and look stunning on that dancefloor . They always cover the dancefloor really well.
What I like the most in her ballroom, is her top line : just gorgeous and I think that Darcey summed it up perfectly last night .

I absolutely love how she was singing along to the song last night . Her and Aljaz have a very good chemistry on the dancefloor as well which is lovely to see

She has been the most improved dancer imo. I unfortunately don't think that she's going to win but I want her to make the finale at least and finish in the top 3 .

In my opinion, she has the best topline ever seen from a Stricly celeb.

Presumably only footwork prevented her from getting more 10s in her VW?
